Be careful. This could happen to you

Enema failure, colon puncture, rupture >>>> COLOSTOMY.

Play safely boys and girls. Watch the volume and pressure you use. DON'T force hoses and tubes.

You could end up like this fellow. Be advised, his stoma was PRE-CLEANED for the video and his surgery to make the stoma was very nicely performed to textbook specifications. Normally there would be loose feces there and sometimes while changing the wafer and bag the bowels decide to move so you end up defecating on yourself. His stoma is well healed. If this was early on after the colostomy, there would also be bleeding and irritated skin. While your at it, be sure to note the length of his midline surgical scar from the navel to below the waistline of his under pants.

What's the matter?

This has been read 50 times and no one has anything to say ???

Life can be hard and consequences can be severe.

I guess this is less titillating than showing your dick to a female nurse or physician.

I just wrote a warning on another thread about hyponatremia (low bodily/blood sodium) during enemas, and I didn't write anything on this thread about Susie's OP just because every word of it is accurate and a smart warning so we can all have as much fun as we like, safely. Thank you, Susie, very much.

Eric

Safe enema players: "Wow yeah, that's a great reminder to play safely."

Stupid enema players: "Oh here's just another 'don't do this because you could get hurt' video. I'm going to shove a tube from my anus all the way to my epiglottis so I can give myself a full body enema!"

I would like to point out that some of us long-term lifer enema players understand and appreciate Susie's and RNinCA's and others' sane, sensible advice, which just MAY have something to do with why I'm still here to write this after all those insertions, fillings, massagings, evacuations and orgasms! Specifically, although I recently think I caught the "safe but sensually, intensely erotic 'Fill my colon with fun liquids and long toys'" virus, I will NOT be pursuing the above-referenced stomach/esophagus and pharynx clean out and/or full body enema! True thanks, RN, for the good warning for us safe enema players, but some of us "oldsters" (and on this list I feel like a young'un sometimes) are far enough out on the sanity curve to still be planning to be mixing, filling and coming for, let's say, decades to come? ???

Eric

I dont know your age but I probably have had more enemas than you have had birthdays. when my mini mental is under twenty you may have a point, but for now not senile or demented moderators that is ageist crap, you would take down something that is so offensive to a large portion of members we might be old but age and IQ do not have have a relationship either inverse or linear. you must have missed the 10 minutes most nursing programmes demand on slanderous language from BA, Msw, rsw 7 yrs university, 30 years in hospitals

I don't give a crap how young or old you are, play safely.

A great young patient demonstrates her colostomy bag and wafer change:

This is a life changing activity.

Very sobering video. Not sure what is going on in today's society. Has our reading comprehension dropped that low? We seem to hear what we want to hear and read more into something than is actually written. For whatever it's worth friends, read things CAREFULLY! Don't go off half cocked. God knows we have enough problems in this "f 'd" up world we live in without adding to them by adding more to something than is intended.

I'll step down from my soap box now.

You force anything, rather than do it the way you best can, and you are ASKING for trouble!

I have always posted that when using colon tubes, some days they slide right in and you can feel it as it goes. Other days you feel the tubes hit a stopping point and then a poking feeling, and that's when you know you have to STOP. The tube is going no further unless you force it and risk injury.

I like doing deep colon play but I don't have to do it on every enema session to have great erotic orgasmic enemas. When my body allows me to do it- great. But if doesn't then that's OK too, I just switch my focus to finishing off with a super orgasm.

Susie,

I always enjoyed taking enemas with my 30 inch colon tube fully inserted. Now I am seriously considering not using it or not inserting it as far.

How do you tell how many times a post or thread has been read?

How do you tell how many times a post or thread has been read?

This counter for how many times a thread has been read is displayed under its large title, and to the right hand side. This thread had been read 271 times by the time I submitted this post.

It is impossible to tell how many times an individual post on a thread has been read. Only the number of times the whole conversation (the thread) has been opened can be determined.

Thank You, @DrZ . I had never noticed that count over against the right margin. Talk about hiding in plain sight.

Thanks for this thread I have bought a colon tube but after this I don't think I will try using it at all, my Grandma had a colostomy but it was because of Cancer but she had very good control with her stoma until she really got up there in years and then started to wear a bag when she lost control of the spincter muscle that controlled her Stomma. She even irrigated on a regular basis until she lost control, other wise she just wore a tissue over it for protection. When she had the operation the DR got everything she even didn't have to go through any Chemo and stayed Cancer free for the rest of her 96 yrs she lived to. 😃

Play safely, everyone.

While most of us are seeking pleasure and sexual stimulation, pushing your luck can have permanent consequences. Not mentioned is that in most cases an ostomy forever removes the rectum and the chance to engage in the activities we enjoy. For guys, that means the prostate will be out of reach, too.

Those with an ostomy sometimes need to flush the bowel, but those enemas are not what you had in mind.

More is not always better.

Careful you will shoot your eye out i think i have herd it before " the Christmas story movie " i,m calling bs here the colon is a pretty tough and flexible organ , if you stick something sharp or super blunt with enough force well you could indeed puncture it but normal or even extreme enemas and anal play the colon can learn to love with out any harm! it even makes it stronger and healthier

A well-documented complication of colonoscopy is colon piercing/puncture/rupture, usually requiring surgical repair. Sometimes it causes peritonitis and death. One happened to a GI doc at my former hospital.

The colon is definitely flexible, and within a range is pretty durable, but it's easier than you think to damage it, and once damaged things aren't fun.

Look up the reports and case studies. I'm not a doctor but I looked into safety before deciding to try enemas, and if you do them wrong things can pretty easily be damaged, especially if you have a portion of your colon compromised. Most common issues were small nozzles puncturing the rectum and dangerous solutions (chemical additives or heat). The mucosa of the colon is not as heavy as that of the mouth, so don't make the mistake of thinking that if something is OK in the mouth it's fine in the butt (and there also isn't as much muscular support around the mucosa). Yes, you can play safely but you do need to be aware of things.

it even makes it stronger and healthier

Heard this thrown out several times, is there anything to back it up? Not calling BS on it per se, but I would be interested to see if anything substantiates it.

Thanks for the good advise through illustration and example. Safety is often a matter of common sense, which gets abandoned sometimes during the sensual excitement.

I do agree it is indeed easy to puncture the colon with the increadable bad design of colon scopes in use today . any sharp hose ,tube or scope can easily puncture the haustra. i have built many colon cameras with much higher quality video and 0 percent chance of punture. i have seen my colon to the cecum and the villii in the small 100s of times and after over 50,000 gallons of water i can indeed attest to it really helps the colon and body in many wonderful ways i have even discovered some things the colon can do that the world does not yet know about and they are amazing!!!

What??? If you've designed such a good scope why haven't you marketed it? I don't believe a word of this.

@Tummypro

OK, I'll bite ... such as ...What you said sounds quite fanciful, and @liquidsky asks a valid question. I'm guessing that others besides just the two of us would be interested in something more concrete.

How long does someone have to - 'wear' or use the colostomy bag or appliance? I hope I don't ever have to find out - but how much of a normal life is possible, like travel?

Lora, I'll tell ya...been there, done that. T'was the 4th of July, 2006. Experiencing some heavy-duty gut pain I went into the E.R. It was diagnosed as a ruptured divertiqula and I was off to emergency surgery. I awoke much later in recovery with a Colostomy. Three months later, Labor Day weekend nearby was back into surgery to do the repair that they hadn't been able, moving the Colostomy up into the small intestine...now renamed an illiostomy. Three months later...Veteran's Day they removed the 'ostomy, and hooked me back up making me a complete asshole again.

Kidding aside, it was the worst, the vilest medical experience I've ever encountered....the smell peels uwallpaper! I was forever grateful to be back together! If I have to take enemas every day for the rest of my life its so much better than a Colostomy.

@boxcar - I hope my husband doesn't have to do this, or me for that matter. This should be a warning - to a certain someone who He shall remain nameless, to go get His ass check out, literally.

Thanks for the information - maybe the doctors or whatever should show more of those colostomy videos, then maybe more people would do a colonoscopy. Hmmm - :-\\ drink some foul tasting goat piss, have a tube shoved right up there, get some pictures taken, and spend a couple of days altogether, doing it, or six months with a colostomy bag. Geeze - decisions decisions, how hard could it be for Him to choose? :-\\

Thanks bunches boxcar. 😃

Lora

Thank you. This post is so good and relevant. Not that I have had any issue because I follow the advice of my doctors and other professionals that if you have diverticulosis which I understand is the precursor to diverticulitis, pressure from large enemas is extremely dangerous and must be avoided. I have noted the prevalent macho of many of my fellow kinksters here to brag about large volumes. Do you know if you really have the guts to take them?

The risk may be LOW but it' NOT ZERO!!

The risk is NEVER zero.
