Renal Ultrasound

I have to have this ultrasound performed tomorrow? What should I expect? Will I be required to get undressed and put on a gown? Procedure is being done at the Radiology Dept. of the local hospital.

Here in the UK we get called straight into the room . I just have to lower my trousers/skirt and underwear to the top of the pubic area . My top half clothes have to be pulled up to under my breasts .

They always scan me lying on my back first . Then they scan the left side and back , followed by the right side and back .

Then I have to go empty my bladder ( I do via a catheter ) . Then they just do another quick scan to make sure I'm empty .
