I always get a little guilty and excited about bying baby things. Bottles, powder,
diaper rash creme, pacifiers usually aren't too much of a problem but I make a lot
of my own diapers (cloth) and buying "diaper flannel" by the yard has given me a
few surprised questions.
I usually go to the same fabric store -- maybe two or three times a year--
older women work there and I'm sure they talk about some of the guys who
buy this material.
One time-- a nice lady was helping me and as she was cutting the cloth-- she
asked me what all the material was for --I blushed and said "a project"--
she smiled and said -- I'll let you out the back after-- if you want-- she knew!!!!
Another time, I was cashing out and the cashier said " if this is for diapers--
make sure you wash the material first-- red, red, red, face-- thanks maaam.
Next time I go there,I think I'll just wear my diapers under my pants--
and if they ask--who knows -- matbe I'll say diapers and I need a seamtress.
Has anyone else had embarrassing experiences while buying baby things?
