Of course we've recently seen Bruce Jenner, an aging male, transform himself into a woman. Originally only wanted to be with women. Now Caitlyn sounds like she's looking for a man.
Changing.
But i'm not here to discuss Bruce/Caitlyn. I'm thinking about how some aging folks reach a point where they're sexuality begins to change. Of course people can open themselves to be more tolerant. Like you may see a homophobe over time become more accepting of homosexuals. That's understandable because you can see how education & maturity & maybe a few other things can contribute to increased open mindedness,
But what about something that i'm starting to notice more & more. People reach a certain age, & perhaps people who have been straight their whole life start to become "curious", "heteroflexible" is the term used here, & eventually they become bisexual. It seems the sentiment from many things i've read with respect to guys is that as their wives become more disinterested in sex after menopause, or maybe even during the course of a marriage, they begin to turn to other men to seek sexual gratification, not necessarily a romance. And the next thing you know, they've gone from straight, never having thought of having a relationship with a man, to becoming bisexual.
Besides the continuing sex drive of a male combined with the opposite in some aging females, are there any other not-so-obvious factors, maybe like something naturally biological which may not be too well known, that contribute to a straight male altering to bisexual?
We've seen people late/later in their lives change genders. Sometimes people may think if they're that old, why start now? But when you think about gender changing & sexual orientation changing at these older ages, & i don't know maybe something within myself too, if there isn't something to the aging process & the resulting effect on sexuality, sexual preferences, etc.
