I did say Shower Shot open tube. Perhaps A bit of explanation of the terms open and closed colonic hydrotherapy are in order. First, I own a Toxigen B Hydrotherapy machine of the type often used by practitioners for professional cleansing. It is known as a closed system because it uses two tubes to a speculum. A large, one inch approx. carries the waste and water from the speculum while a smaller tube i/16 approx diameter supplies fresh water to the speculum. It i closed system because the larger waste tube is connected to a ball valve so that the waste water is prevented from leaving the patient or client during the colonic fill cycle. The influx of the water is monitored on a colonic pressure gauge by the practitioner who is in complete control of the session. When the pressure reaches a prescribed level, the effluent ball valve is opened and the waste flows into the sewer. After several fill, open, fill, open cycles the waste will run clear and you will feel great and you do not have any mess or smell.
Now, to address reverse flow!
That's nearly impossible. Consider that when a colon is full, it's pressure is likely no more than two or
two and a half p.s.i. That leaves a maximum possible forward pressure of over forty pounds which makes reverse flow into your irigator impossible.
Now, the open tube system has only one tube and no waste tube. The pressure is scaled down by a clamp or valve to a value close to that of the filling colon. like the closed system the influent water flow is controlled by a valve, such as a gate valve, to adjust the water pressure in the colon. A single inlet speculum or tube is inserted into the rectum, much like an enema, with the water supply tube attached. The gate valve is opened to admit water into the colon at a controlled rate. When the colon is full you simply release the waste water into a drain such as a shower of bath tub. In this case, the person receiveing the colonic is in comlpete control of the fill release cycle. He/she will release waste water whenever the colon is filled and it is desirable to do so. There is likely an odor and, unless there is a separate container to receive the waste, a possible mess in the shower or tub. The open tube system is great after a series of enemas or closed tube colonics and the speculum can be a Shower Shot, an enema nozzle or colon tube. The water source can be a shower hose or a gravity reservoir.
