Wearing a new medium Square Peg Egg plug, which I have finally figured out how to keep in, at least for now. I'm wearing a certain pair of I think Hanes briefs which just perfectly pulls around my buttocks and allows me to pull it up into my crack in the back and really hold in my super soft plug perfectly. Side effect is every time I bend over slighty, it pulls the plug farther and harder up into my butt. Fortunately the base is large enough that it won't pull it all the way in, but what a rush every time I bend over. Once I take this set of briefs off I'll have to see if I can buy another few sets so I have a reliable set of plug harnesses until I can find a real on made for the purpose. Underwear - who knew? ?

BTW, this super soft SP Egg plug is absolutely delightful, and it really is supersoft, and takes a bit of a learning curve to get it into you the first few times. I have never used a butt plug but purchased one today. I have always loved enemas and any anal play but enemas have become a problem for me. I recently had botched back surgery. Even though the surgery was mid back, there was some nerve damage, the result of an "oops" by the surgeon. It left me with no rectal muscle control. It isn't a problem with BMs because I can feel pressure so know I have to go. Getting it out isn't a problem but holding the enema in even for a few seconds is a problem. The bag is no sooner empty when the fluid pours out. My husband and I have tried to get creative but haven't had any luck. We've even tried various positions hoping to retain the enema even for a few minutes. Will the butt plug help to keep it in for a few minutes? Maybe long enough for some fun sex? Having loved enemas for most of my life, the thought of not being able to really enjoy them any more is depressing! I hope the butt plug purchase wasn't a waste of money.

I'm so sorry you had such an unfortunate surgical outcome. Except for being a nearly-retired physician (Anesthesiologist), I'm not anything but a pretty experienced enema player after about 40 years of loving them. I'd recommend to not use a typical butt plug unless it's one of the ones I've read about here that is so soft it literally expands after passing by your sphincter.

Rather, do what many including me do and spend the money for a DoubleBalloonCatheter (mine's latex, silicone available) that you insert rectally and then literally inflate with the desired/needed number of pumps inside you to block the water exiting. The external balloon also gets inflated, frequently to larger than your internal one, to pull on your cheeks and help seal your inner inflated balloon inside against your internal sphincter.

For me, even with a double balloon seal, which I adore feeling, with or without an enema flowing, it may take you a couple or few trials of insertion and inflation and positioning to get the hang of it. I use it almost daily, and during particularly intense low rectal urges to push, I need to sometimes push the outer balloon in against my sphincter as well as very consciously relax my sphincter to be sure of a perfect non-leaking seal. You'll figure it out - don't worry. It's a bit expensive but for we enema lovers, absolutely worth having. I'd like to know your opinion on the the force it takes to "close" the anchor before inserting. Would you rate it as low, moderate or high? How hard is to pull out once inserted?

I'd like to know because I tried another sort of "anchor" - every plug I own I inserted it both ways, bulb forward and base (squeezed down) first. Of course the base did open up once inside me. The plugs made of softer silicone are quite pleasurable and interesting to insert backwards, but those made of harder silicone (which obviously takes more force to squeeze closed and then to pull out of the butt) can be hard on prostate, rectal walls and sphincter. Glass ones are not that difficult to pull out because they don't open up, but some plugs made of hard silicone made me think I was going to tear myself. However, that did not prevent me from trying them all this way to see how they feel. If it is not coming out, then you have to squeeze the base backwards inside with your fingers, and then it comes out with no problems.

The softer "anchor" side buttplug insertions are one of my regular stunts, so I'd like to know how hard is to close, and then pull out once inserted, the real anchor. If deemed soft or medium, I'm going to try the anchor plug.

Afternine- Mrs. Buttwoman, I like that. The larger ass anchors require quite a bit of force to close. That's why they works so well. Covered in lube, they want to escape your grasp. The easy way to insert is just to grab it with your thumb, and all your fingers, and sit down on it on a chair. As soon as it's going it, you can let go. It will never fall out, but comes out easily enough. I can just push them out.
