Late to the thread and my first post on this site so be gentle
(and it's actually fireman's wife posting, we'll be sharing this account!)
Our code phrase which can be used in public just kinda evolved, I can't remember exactly how, is 'stop by the cleaners'!
So in a phone or face to face conversation which others could hear...
'Do you need to stop by the cleaners later?' is inquiry - 'do you need an enema?'
'I need to stop by the cleaners later' is statement - 'I need an enema'
'Maybe you could stop by the cleaners later?' is desire - 'I want to give you an enema'
'You need to stop by the cleaners later' is threat/promise - 'you're getting an enema later!'
And other variations as you might imagine.
