I am delighted to find this thread and applaud Jds4med for the comments and the link. I do holistic bodywork / energy work, and am a board certified polarity practitioner. The linked YouTube videos of pnpapa seem to be very realistic application of both western and eastern medical / therapeutic knowledge.
Erectile Dysfunction is only one of the many problems that clients / patients present. It may be caused by many issues: physical, neurological, psychological, etc. A common denominator of presenting issues among men with ED and other problems is often tenseness of muscles and fascia. Soft-tissue manipulation, manual or mechanical, can give real relief - temporary or permanent - for any of a host of ailments and is generally a benign and conservative therapeutic approach to releasing energy which has been blocked or diminished. Things can get complicated, though, in treating problems related to sex, especially when fees are involved. This is possibly more true in some cultures than in others.
It is instructive to me that some of the videos in the list accessed by the YouTube link refer to "happy endings."
As a medical professional, I always take a history and clarify both a client's limits and my own before proceeding with an exam and treatment. A "happy ending" to a treatment with me is when the client is satisfied with the level of health and energy he or she has available when we are finished. That may, as in ED treatment, involve orgasm and/or ejaculation, but oftentimes it is more healthy for the client to reserve that energy for other purposes to which he or she may wish to put it. If there is a climax, is this "sex for money"? Some people may think so. Some communities may outlaw it. It seems to me a real pity that issues of healthy physicality, sensuality, eroticism, and sex can become such political footballs.
In any event, I follow Hippocrates' lead: at least do no harm.
Please keep this thread alive.
