The seated posture I describe in extensive detail is suitable for submissives. It can be used for disciplining, and will improve the sub's focus and will-power. A photo is provided:

It is based on a kundalini yoga pose, and superficially it involves sitting cross-legged with hands on head. However, it is not as straightforward as it seems.
The spine is to be as straight as possible. There is a natural curve in most spines which will not go away, and this is healthy. Certainly, the buttocks and shoulders should be aligned vertically, and the back of he head as well, if possible. To learn this, a wall can be used as in the photo, but after the initial few minutes of getting the alignment, the sub should move 2 inches from the wall. This prevents it from being used for support, but enables the alignment to be checked by a dom(me). Slouching is NOT allowed!
The legs should be crossed. For many beginners, the knees will be high, and it is impossible to sit straight. In this case, a cushion can be placed under the buttocks. If the sub is comfortable in full lotus, this can be used. Warning - do not attempt this if it is painful - knee problems can result.
The lower abdomen is to be contracted - it should NOT sag. The upper abdomen is more relaxed to allow comfortable breathing.
The hands: the fingers are to be gently interlinked. They are to touch the wall whilst learning, and are to be held approximately 3 inches above the head, as in the photo. To be clear, they must NEVER touch the head!
The elbows can be forward of the face. Open them wide if possible, but do not bring the hands forward.
The eyes should be gently closed. The mental focus can be directed towards various parts of the body, or images/ideals/aspirations. A mantra can be given. This is a repeated phrase which can be spoken, whispered, or internalised.
The genitals. There are several cases here: male/female, and chastity issues.
* the male can be instructed to maintain an erection throughout.
* the male can be instructed to not allow an erection. If this cannot be done, he could sit on the penis, or wear a chastity device.
* for females, a sheet of paper can be placed below the vagina, to indicate the presence of moisture. She can be instructed to keep the paper dry, or to make it moist.
Timing. An alarm can be used, but a clock should NOT be visible. Up to 30 minutes can be done. Start off with 5 , and increase by 5 minutes each time.
Self-control. The sub should not open their eyes, or move. The posture at the end of the session should be exactly the same as the starting posture. NO laziness is allowed. Keep those hands high!
