For several years I worked at a scientific laboratory with radiation sources and each year every person was given a very complete physical exam by a nurse practioner. Aways female. The ladies knew what they were doing and spent time on the genitals -everything from checking the size of the gonads to prostate function. One of the woman, mid thirties, had a real sense of humor. I looked forward to the exam. Later exams by male physician were not anywhere as complete and just a quick look, squeeze, and only sometimes the prostate. Female examiners make men a little more anxious but actually provide more comprehensive exams in my opinion.
My NP has me take off shirt and shoes/socks to start and then when she wants to do the privates she will have me lower my pants
All female urologists I have seen have me undress completely and examine me while lying on an exam table. They have me draw my knees up for prostate exam. All have had a female assistant in the room during the exam. I now see a female internist who follows the same protocol.
I was examined a couple of weeks ago and she asked if I wanted a gown or if I was happy to take my clothes of as I went. I was very happy to take my clothes of as I went. Ended up lying on the bed in underwear before removing them for testicle exam
When I see the female urologist, its drop the pants and underwear. With mt PCP, for my annual physical, its naked under the gown.
I have a female doctor and yes I do wear a gown with underwear on underneath.Usually when she's ready to do my genital exam she'll ask me to raise my gown for her and she will lower my underwear herself to wherever she wants them.Usually mid thigh!
As I've said before, my medical care is done by an nurse practitioner at the VA, and most exams are "Strip as you go," so when it comes down to the hernia/genital/rectal exam, she just tells me to drop 'em.
I had on a gown when she walked in with a female nurse. I bent over and she did a prostate exam. Then I stood up, turned around and she removed my gown and did a genital exam. The nurse watched the whole time. They'd both seen hundreds of naked men before so it was no big deal, just normal.
The doctor I have told me to drop my pants and shorts for a hernia check , was quite sexy I might add being told to drop everything while she sat on a stool and slapped some gloves on . Total turn on

Total turn onI agree with that. I enjoy watching anytime my doctor is pulling on gloves because that means that those gloved fingers will soon be handling my genitals or penetrating me. Good times!
Hi I am Joshua,I have always been asked to take all of my clothes off and slip on there designer gown, opening in back.
The only time I've been examined as an adult by a female, was by a NP for a pre-employment physical. She had me undress to my underwear and wear a gown. When it came time for the hernia exam she had me lower my underwear, then she raised my gown and completed the exam. She didn't do a rectal exam on me.
I’ve had a female doctor ever since I was 17. For most of that time I’ve usually just been in my underwear. However, with my new doctor, I’m given either a gown or a paper sheet with nothing underneath.
The physician’s assistant that works for my doctor is a woman, and she performs mine and my wife’s physicals. I am offered a gown by the nurse that takes my vitals, before she leaves me to get undressed down to my undershorts and socks. I always say no thanks. I don’t like the gowns, I would rather just be wearing my boxer briefs. For the genital exam/hernia check/ rectal exam, I just lower my undershorts to mid thigh when requested for those exams.
I'll answer this for @Deviant1 since he's busy with a bunch of things and hasn't had a lot of time to post. I'm with him at the urologist anyhow, so this is still a first hand account. We see a husband/wife team of urologists. Due to their sub-specializations, I see the husband and Dev sees the wife. As his initial visit with her, she had him naked under a gown, because she basically did a complete exam on him. At subsequent visits, he takes off everything below the waist and is covered with a paper drape down below.I'm probably one of the few spouses who has seen her husband in the stirrups, as she has had him get into lithotomy position for cystoscopies and the beginning of a urodynamics test. I thought he looked cute all trussed up like that with his dangly bits dangling. 😉 Turn about is fair play!
My current female pcp has the medical assistant instruct me to take everything off but I am given a sheet to put on my lap. At the end of the exam I am asked to stand up and leave the sheet on the table and she first does the genital and hernia exam then she asks me to bend over the table and she does the prostate exam. Last time before entering asked if it was ok to do a “360”? I said I guess it’s ok.
Depends upon what you are seeing her for, I suppose--best guess is she'll just have you drop your pants/underpants for a DRE, that's about all mine does (but he's male.) I did have a female PCP for years who had me undressed in a gown, but with my underpants still on, and she would have me pull them down for the genital and rectal exams.
Depends on the doctor. Some don’t require undressing whereas others do. Some don’t do genital/hernia/rectal exams unless there are expressed issues.
Past 4 doctors in 12 years only 2 did a genital/rectal exam, one with a gown lying down then standing up. My last full physical that included genital/rectal exam was no gown. Both described above completed by female doctors
I do have a female nurse practitioner but she doesn't look down there unfortunately. I asked her to check me down there the last time I had a physical but alas, she did not do it. I do not undress and wear a gown when I see her either
In my exams I never wear a gown, I'm stripped down to my boxers and they come off when it comes to the genital exam.
For the female urologist visits I've had, I just drop my pants when it is time for the genital - rectal exam.At my primary care physician's office, I'm striped to my underpants for most of the exam, and then the underpants come down for the genital - rectal exam. It's all been very predictable, in my experience.
I have been in the care of the same female doctor for several years. When I have my yearly physical I am in my underwear from the moment I have my vitals taken until having the testicular exam. A gown? Never offered one nor do I care.
