To be auscultated with the doctor who stands behind your back ...

I would love for a (male) doctor to listen to my lungs standing behind me, then reach under my arm to listen to my heart. Would also love to be laying on my left side and have the doctor listen. Most of the time my GP listens standing to my side, occasionally standing in front of me.

I guess it must be a special experience and especially since then you are relying on feel rather than sight.

For both the cardio and respiratory part of my exams I'm listened to on both my chest and on my back. It's obviously great to see what the doc is doing but I also enjoy it when they're standing behind me listening to my back. They ask me to take deep breathes in and out as they move the stethoscope around and I only know when to breathe again when I can feel the coldness of the stethoscope touching my bare skin. Similarly when they're asking me to say 99 every time they move it.
