Although my mom preferred to give a full bag of enema there were those times when she would ask me if I thought a small one, which she called a "little shot" might be in order. What she meant was a single bulbfull to sort of get things moving again. At that age I knew that I would be getting an enema no matter what and the idea of the small one had appeal. Eventually, the little shot wound up being given from the bag and it got to be larger. At about age 12 or so and enema was an enema no matter what it was called and it entailed enduring a full bag of soapy water.
