I think I've read here that some people ask the question of whether or not we love enemas because of being "ADDICTED", which may or may not be true for some and not others. From the posts that I've read here, I haven't seen any that really hone in on all the aspects of an addiction, especially as applied to enemas. Yes there is physical and psychological addiction, both of which I think are almost equally powerful with any addictions but there are other aspects too. Here are some things about addictions and how I think we could apply them to enemas.
1) Tolerance This is the physical dependence of needing more and more to have the same effect. I suppose with enemas it would be taking larger and larger enemas which could get quite messy( although I can’t imagine anyone taking more than a gallon like I frequently do). Or I guess it could be using them more and more often such as Mae West who reportedly used them every day (I’m a user every 2-3 days) but increasing them more than that would be eventually being hooked up to a bag 24-7-365.
2) Physical withdrawl when taken away In the case of enemas, being addicted to the physical sensation of having a nozzle in the ass as well as being filled up full of water is physically pleasant and nothing else like it. This can be physical cravings when it’s been awhile and there are definitely times I crave the sensation. But that alone doesn't make it an addiction.
3) Comfort at not only the behavior but the thought of the behavior I love seeing the bag or nozzle, or even hearing the word. This is a psychological thing of course and actually it’s more of what makes a fetish a fetish. The big part of a fetish is that it’s dependent on an object as part of the experience, such as an enema bag, a paddle, latex rubber, rope, or something else that provides stimulation.
4) Impairment in vocational, educational, or social functioning This one is the game changer. So when people skip or are constantly late to work or school because of taking enemas, then it’s called an addiction. When people have no relationships with other people such as friends or a spouse and they only sit at home and take enemas, then it might be called an addiction. I must admit, I’ve already called out of work to stay home and take some enemas, but it’s never been a habitual thing. When somebody calls out 2-3 times a week every week for enemas, then maybe we’ll call it an addiction. Even though I would love to quit my job, can’t do it yet. I am still always looking for ways to get paid to take enemas and plenty open to suggestions. When somebody does it 2-3 times a week every week, then maybe we’ll call it an addiction.
So that’s pretty much my take on enemas as an addiction. Everyone can be their own judge of whether they have an addiction or a fetish. I never judge anyone either way. As for me, I’m just gonna go on enjoying my enemas: call it what you will.
