Robin Carr's Virgin River series 😮ne of the main characters is a doctor, and she performs at least one kind of exam in almost every book until about the 9th book.

There are a series of detective stories by Christine Green which are very good. The detective is a nurse, whose landlord is a foot fetishistic undertaker.
Also the "angel" stories by Anthea cohen, where the perp is a nurse. Male or female???
