I've seen a lot of items about women's physicals, and I'm curious about the guys.
I have a physical twice a year (more often if needed) by a V. A. Doctor. Most of the time it is a quick check of vitals (with oral temp, much to my disappointment) H.E.E.N.T. and some abdominal palpation. Nothing else is usually checked unless I have a particular complaint. (This may change now that I'm just past my mid-40's)
When I was a Navy Corpsman, I was always taught that a physical exam was to be a COMPLETE physical, Neurological/reflexes, genital/hernia check, DRE and all. (A pelvic for females, which was usually done by an M. D., but that depends on where you are stationed, as not every duty station has a Medical Officer.)
I'm just curious how often the other men get an exam and how complete it is.
Also, do you find male or female doctors give more complete exams. Do you have a preference? (I find female doctors more thorough and prefer them)
