Play patients out there, what do you desire from your playdoc in the way of their characteristics, their exam style, their exam room, instruments, personality, how they meet your expectations etc etc etc? Many a topics of thread in regards to what playdocs desire as the perfect patient. What makes the perfect playdoc as we are all different with likes and dislikes. Perhaps its time for them to hear something similar from play-patients.
As for me, here it is. Its just my thoughts and opinions.
I also prefer male physicians, male medical professionals, male play docs.
First and foremost I believe and value building a strong trusting honest friendship that is in place before play is the focus. Building on what is in common, similar and what is different. I feel that this is a huge factor in building trust and honesty between both parties. I feel it provides a good basis for knowing what kind of person each other is. Yes, talk about medfet subjects in this process, though I would not have it as the main primary focus in the beginning. He openly offers references and encourages me to use them and also to find them on my own if possible.
I desire my play doc to have a good understanding of who I am, my desires of the play. He is open, he listens and communicates very well. He is genuine, professional. He knows his limits and boundaries and stands by them. He respects my boundaries and limits. He is able to explain everything very well and accurate to my understanding. He is honest, understanding regarding asking what can be intimate, embarrassing, humiliating questions in an atmosphere I feel comfortable to honestly answer his questions. He also openly, comfortably, easily and honestly answers all my questions, even if I ask the same one(s) more than once in different way(s) for whatever reason(s) I may or may not be aware of. He is flexible to change, he will modify the exam as needed at any moment for any reason. If my menstral cycle starts during or right before we play, he is comfortable to continue playing as if it is not currently flowing. He values me for who I am, what I bring to the exam. He has humor, he is able to laugh with me and at himself. He desires me to have the best exam possible tailored just for me.
He must have excellent personal hygiene and grooming for himself. He keeps his instruments, exam room exam gowns, drapes in impeccable in cleanliness, appearance, safety and functionality. For those instruments that need to be sterile, an autoclave is a must. I also require my play doc to have an autoclave. Yes, I know the vagina and rectum is NOT sterile. He must be well educated and experienced with using his instruments properly and safely. He must understand and know how to set up a sterile field, use and maintain it, example for this to be used is with urethral play and cathertization of bladder. He must understand and know how to prevent cross contamination, example bimanual pelvic exam and rectal exam.
He must have a solid knowledge of emergency first aid such as CPR, controlling bleeding, dealing with shock, SOB etc. If something is amiss and there is a reason to call for emergency medical backup, he will easily and quickly do so without hesitation. He understands that there is potential risk in everything from the most minor to the most extreme in everything. He does everything he can to prevent anything from going amiss. Beyond playing within his and my limits and boundaries, he is always checking in with me to make sure all is well from my perspective. He requires me to have a safe word and hopes it will not need to be used. He requires me to have met with my physician within at least 6 months or less to ensure what my current state of physical health is as a safety precaution for both of us.
He must have a solid knowledge foundation understanding of A & P, it is important. I don't want him mixing up my uvula and vulva because they have similar spelling and physical characteristics. If I need my immunizations updated, I want them in my gluteus maximus, not my gastrocnemius. LOL!
He keeps the exam clinical while going through the entire head to toe internal and external exam very slow and very thorough. He is able to cue into and understand my nonverbal, paraverbal, verbal and physical body language that I may or may not be aware of. He values and respects my feelings regarding modesty, the use of gowns, drapes, amount of removal of clothing and manner in wich it is done is openly and easily discussed. He is able to pick up on all these obvious and subtle cues and at all times remain the consumate professional.
I could add so much more to this, though I leave it open for others to do just that.
