There is a whole area and methods, often not discussed, involving the use of colon tubes and nozzles, that can generally referred to colonic irrigation . To be sure that you understand ,there is the true colonic irrigation text book methods of irrigation, and there are alternate methods that merge enema methods and irrigation.
I have found that washing the fecal waste out of the colon a section at time while advancing a colon in a stop and go fashion facilitates this. The colon tubes used are a 48 Fr. (approx.1/2'' in dia. ) X 48 inches long: and a second tube ,63 Fr. ( a bit over 3/4'' in dia. ) X 54 inches long. These are larger diameter tubes and at times the 63Fr. tube can be to large for the moment. As to length, all ,or only part of the tube can be used ,depending how deep you wish to clean. Tubes are advanced while water is flowing. Jockeying the tube backward and forward also stimulates the colon to help evacuate some. As you get past approx. 30 '' into the colon it is possible to retain several quarts of water and the relax letting it flow out while water is also flowing through the tube, Aka ''the garden hose effect ''.It is possible to routinely fully insert all but a few inches of the tube and lavage the entire colon. With practice water can be advanced through the cecum and sometimes it just finds its way though. At the high location ,or deepest into the colon, water can be flowed into the colon and then drained out through the tube. When you get clear water returns out of the tube, the procedure has been completed. While in a sitting position the tube is slowly removed allowing pooled water in sections of the colon to be drained out. This aides in removing most of the residual water left after this or a typical enema.
A nozzle can be used in similar fashion to fill a section of colon and then remove the nozzle to let water and fecal material drain out. This is repeated until a portion or all of the colon is clean. An effective variation is to use the nozzle method in the lower colon and the tube in the upper colon.
The water supply is gravity feed from a 5 gallon container possibly a solar shower bag or a 5 gallon bucket. It is possible to use 8- 10 gallons of water. Some people connect directly to their water supply . This connection is not recommended.I also drink electrolytes during and after this prep or cleanup process.
Waste drainage can be done using a padded board that is positioned to allow you to drain into a toilet. Also one can be in tub or shower with water spraying from a hand held shower head washing waste down the drain. Like anything it gets much easier and comfortable with a little practice. You can keep your self and the tub clean while cleaning out.
I have found this to be the quickest and easiest way to get the colon clean especially high up and not have surprises while engaged in play. The choice is yours whether or not you use all or part of this method. What ever you do, always strive to find ways to make the prep as enjoyable, as possible.
Everyone ,be well, and be aware of measures to protect yourselves, in these uncertain times.
