I shared about my experiences at the pediatrician, but I forgot to mention one more interesting story.
Looking back, I could laugh, but back then I think it was a big deal. Since this was pretty shocking, I remember it still very clearly.
I wrestled all four years in high school, and middle school,. and I forgot which year, but I got a sports physical from my private pediatrician before school started for sports. The exam form was front and back, and a single sheet of paper, but on the form, there was a section which said, "GENITALIA (males only)" and below it, there was a line which asked "Circumcised? Yes, No. "
The forms were collected and put in a basket in each homeroom, and then the student hall monitor came and picked them up from each home room. Usually these hall monitors were seniors, who just took some filler classes, like "library assistant" or "teacher's assistant."
I was walking down the hall to my class, and there were three girls on the side of the hallway talking, and one of them saw me and waved me over. I walked up to the girls, and with a smile, the one of the girls said,
"You didn't get snipped down there when you were born?"
I was dumbfounded, but I immediately knew what she meant, and I decided to play dumb, but then she asked me,
"You know, your penis isn't circumcised like the other guys?"
I was speechless, and embarrassed. "How do you know? Did you look?" I asked her, half sarcastically. The girls were snickering, and she replied, "I saw the exam form, the doctor wrote that you have uncircumcised penis."
I couldn't understand how she knew, since as far as I know, she was not the hall monitor, but later I found out that she was good friends with the hall monitor who was going around picking up the forms. She probably looked through it briefly and told her friends about it.
She asked why I'm not snipped like the other guys, but I was just embarrassed and left. Looking back now, it was nothing, but back then, I remember feeling really embarrassed.
