For me, I would always advise on shaving. If I stop for any period and then resume, I rarely get itchy down there, but if I do, I just grin and bear it as it lasts only a matter of a couple of day's tops.
Things to note are that:-
you should use a different blade from that which you shave your face with, and keep the blades sharp (replace often) to ensure the best results.
Exfoliate before you shave, ideally having had a warm shower or bath - ensuring your skin is as smooth as possible.
Don't believe the hype about sensitive skin hair removal creams, I tried them a couple of times, and burnt the skin on my testicles. And you think stubble rash is itchy.......
I have tried professional waxing, and had a B,S & C - not something I would choose to do again though, having had a severe reaction to the waxing - pimples for days afterwards. Not a pleasant experience 😢
I always prefer to be bald, and as for visiting a physician, why should it be different for a male patient than a female, as hollywoods/brazilians are en vogue these days?
