I have been wearing pads since 13 part time and from 15 on every day. Mom didn't know until I turned 15 that I loved dressing and being feminine and with the aid of my cousin was having a period as often as I could, just to be like the girls!! When at 15 my cousin finally decided it was time she was told, I was at her place for a long weekend and she left and came back with mom! I was still in my nighty (baby dolls with matching panties) and a belted kotex pad!! To say the least she was very upset!! It took my cousin and I several hours to calm her down! Many tears later and a lot of talking, finally convinced her that I was not your typical boy and that in fact I was much more female! the dressing part was easy for her to accept, I think, but the idea of me actually wearing a pad and simulating my period a little more difficult! For the next few months, it was come home from school and change into my girl clothes and spend time with mom around the house or take off and go shopping in the next city. Then one Sunday morning I woke to a package on my dresser, pink wrapping paper and a big bow! The card on the outside simply said for my daughter!! Inside was a box of kotex ( blue box), 2 new belts and a note that said " Your cousin has started her period, that means you have also! She assures me you know how to use these. When you are dressed and ready meet me at the table, we have much to talk about!! Love mom"
The talk turned out to be, her talking, me listening!!
Things were going to change. If I wanted to be a girl, she would accept that! But I would have to accept that all was not roses in being one! Like now you are on your period and you will have a pad on, no matter what until your cousin says she has stopped!!! That would include going to school!! She had already arrainged with the school that I would not be doing any more PT for the forseeable future. While going to school, boy clothes would be worn, but only panties underneath, while on my period, NO swimming! I would be expected to be prepared at all times for it and to change my pad at least every 4 hrs! It was up to me to figure out how to carry changes with me. I could use what ever type of pad I liked but of course she preffered I use belted napkins as she thought they were best! Hard to find, but you could! Now that I was going to be wearing panties only, panty liners were required at all times!! She would accept no excuses for skipping my period, she and all other women couldn't so neither could I!! And so it went till I graduated H.S. and turned 18!
From that moment on I have lived my life as what I should have been all along! Female!! At times it has been very difficult, but with her, my cousin and others help and support, my life is turning out pretty good!!
