I read the posting asking real medical personnel about whether their medical fetish ever comes into play in their job. My question to the same people is: Have you encountered patients that you suspect have a medical fetish? How did you know? Did that suspicion, in any way, effect how you treated the person?
I don't mean being obvious (as in having sex with them or being openly sexual) about it, but perhaps taking the exam a bit further than it really needed to go? Or even going in the opposite direction of being a bit more prudish than you normally would be to try to discourage them?
I just wondered because besides having a medical fetish anyway, I have a crush on my doctor. We are both married, so nothing will ever come of it. But on more than one occasion, I could have sworn she was flirting with me. I also wonder about it because my annual exams involve a lot more nudity now than ever before (not that I'm complaining, mind you). Also, I am kind of weird in that I kind of like getting DRE's, and even though the doctor tells me that I am still below the recommended age when I need them, she always performs one on me (and tells me afterwards that my prostate is small and fine..).
Beyond my situation, however, I just wondered how doctor's react to patients who they suspect may have a medical fetish? (I.E, they don't complain about getting procedures done that would be considered very embarrassing to non-fetish individuals).
Just wanted to add one more thing: I am pretty healthy and don't really require in-depth exams... I just like getting them.
