Enema syringes in plain view

We had a Davol comfy combination that was kept in the closet until it was needed. I remember is very well. Red closed top bag with a red hose and black douche and enema nozzle. There was a hook by the bathroom window that I found to b perfect for an enema when no one was home. I can still remember the smell of that bag. It was a great time.

We had a hook on the bathroom door and that's where she kept the bag and hose. It stayed there, except when in use, for years. We never had a bulb syringe, only the red bag--a Madison combination.

Growing up in the 50's I saw many enema bags hanging on the doors of friends. My mother used to have ours hanging in the in the bathroom also. I only received one from her but remember using it by myself when ever I was by myself. I hang my bag now from the shower head in plain view 24/7. If anyone asks I'll tell them I enjoy Enemas and see how they react. I'm not ashamed that I use them and enjoy them.

I live with my G F and B F. Yes, we share him. He insists that the equipment is on display in all 3 of out bath rooms. When friends come over it makes for some very intresting conversation to say the least.

My mother had a red closed top bag that hung in the back of her closet - used for douching. My aunt had an open top bag that hung (with colon tube attached) in the attic stairway - used for enemas. My mother-in-law had a very large black douche syringe that she kept on the bottom shelf of her vanity.

In the 1960's, it was very common to see enema bags in bathrooms. All of my relatives had them in plain sight or in a bathroom drawer or closet. There was clearly no shame about them. Enema bags were as common as hairbrushes.

My relatives talked openly about them. All adults and kids got them when needed.

I think everyone knew they were erotic; however, the erotic nature was a byproduct! It couldn't be helped and there was another primary purpose for them.

The 4oz. Red bulb syringe was always in the little blue box it come in underneath the bathroom sink!

I think my wife and I were married about one year when we visited her paternal grandmother. I remember using her bathroom when I was surprised by her enema bag and tubing openly hanging beside the toilet. Oh....that time period would have been in the mid 1960's.

It wasn't just in the 40s and 50s. My kids were at a friend's house a few years ago and I had to use the bathroom while I was there. Hanging in the bathtub was an enema bag. At first I thought that maybe the wife used it for douching, but it was the front bathroom (there is a master bathroom off the master bedroom) and it the bag had an enema nozzle on it. I guess the kids in that family still get the bag. There are 7 of them now, ranging in age from 15 to 1. The parents are pretty religious and the 15 year old girl is pretty rebelious, so maybe trying to control all aspects of a child's life isn't such a good idea.

Still, it would be interesting to know if someday one or more of those kids find this board when they've grown up and relate their experiences.

Leaving an enema bag in view signals to others that there is no shame in using enemas. I guess it would mean to me that I accept using them myself and make no apologies! Also, a bag in view allows conversations about the topic which might otherwise be difficult to start!

My mom would put our red bulb syringe underneath our sink

In the bathroom of my house, hanging on a nail, was the enamel can in plain view. Mom would roll the red hose up, nozzle still attached, and put the hose in the can. Over time a red kink would form where the hose had been forced to bend near the little outlet in the bottom. When it got bad enough someone (Dad?) would cut a couple of inches off. That can eventually went through a few new red hoses; they were sold separately at the the drug store.

My cousins used bags. I know because when I would visit one particular household, not one but two would be out. My aunt wouldn't let her hoses kink, though. They were hanging full length.

Red bulb was always in the medicine cabinet where anyone who opened the door would see it. It occasionally was left on the sink after it was used on me or by my Mom, who used it a lot. I even saw it on the edge of the tub after one of my Mom's enemas - still had the soapy water in it ready for the next squirt!!

There was also a bag that stayed mostly in the linen closet under the towels. I never saw it hanging up anywhere so I don't think my Mom used it much.

My grandmother used to have the bag and nozzle in plain view until the late 70s or so, then somehow the whole contraption disappeared.

I remember my mom's bag hanging on the back of the bathroom door all the time. It had a douche tip on it, I don't think I ever saw an enema tip. I don't think she ever gave me an enema with the bag. Maybe she did with the small red syringe. I never minded seeing that bag hang on the door. I visited playmates also and many of their bathrooms had bags hanging also. No one ever said anything about enemas.

Right now we have a very small bathroom and my wife gets a tad irritated with my enema bags hanging in plain sight. 😢 So if company comes, I have to put my enema bags away or out of sight. I have decided that when we get our new house with two bathrooms, I will hang my enema bags, a few butt plugs and probably some nozzles will be out in the open and if someone asks, I will tell them I enjoy enemas so much, 😃I don't want to have to find what I need when I need it. I am sure my wife will be a tad miffed, but I will live with that. I enjoy my enemas so much, I think I will get a sign like the one avatar, I love enemas and hang it in the bathroom. 😁

I was over at a neighbors house the other day and had to use the bathroom in the upstairs. When I closed the door there was a bag hanging from the towel hook on the inside of the door with the hose and nozzle attached and coiled up. I got the shivvers. I don't think they even remembered that they left it out in plain view.

Hmm kinda like an enema scavenger hunt lol

I received my last childhood enema at about 10. This was the first occasion, that I did not make a great protest and crying, I started to be excited by it. With some time after that it was administered, a friend of mine came to our flat, and we started to play. We ran across all the flat, and we ran into the kitchen to play. After some time I realized, that the enema bulb was put simply to a shelf close to the sink! You could see the red rubber pear and the black tube clearly! Luckily, Shara was standing with her back to this picture. It was a shock, because enema was considered as an intimate action in my family, this time forgetting the bulb at an open place was an accident. I arranged to continue playing elsewhere, but I was embarrassed strongly.

Later I realized, that some people did not make so much business to hide this equipment, they keep it quite openly in their bathrooms.

😄 Well i can attest as a kid growing up in the 70,s that enemas were still very common to find in homes as i seen a lot of that stuff in my friends homes, The back of the bathroom doors was a common place to see enema bags hanging and if there was a toilet in the basement that enema was stuff was not very far away, seems a lot of them i saw in basements were hanging right above the laundry sinks usually tied to the water pipes that fed the faucets, I guess that was done so the enema could be prepared in quick time.

When i was a kid i would often go and play with a friend of mine from school and every time i went to his house i would always see these two big bulb syringes just sitting on the clothes dryer, I knew what they were used for but i got up some nerve and i asked my friend why those things are always on the dryer and he came right out and said, Oh those are for when you get sick or can,t poop so that told me my friend must have also got a lot of enemas, But i still think that was a odd place to keep those syringes, I mean anyone who went into that basement would have seen them right out in the open like that.

I can remember when I first started a new job my boss asked me to stop by one evening for a chat and a drink. I arrived at his home before he got there and his wife and I were chatting until he arrived. Somehow in the conversation she mentioned that she'd dropped something she needed between the washer and dryer off their bathroom and was annoyed she couldn't reach whatever it was. I offered while we were waiting for her husband to see if I could retrieve it for her. She took me to the bathroom and opened the door to the laundry area so I could see where she had dropped the item. Hanging inside along the wall under a shelf was both an open topped douche bag with the hose dangling and a water bottle with the hose looped over a couple of hooks next to it. She muttered something about forgetting they were there as she moved them so I could reach along side the washer to retrieve her lost item. What caught my attention was that the enemas hose and the water bottle still had some water in them and dribbled as she moved them out of the way. It was quite obvious they'd be used very recently. I thought to myself, 'no way you didn't know these were here'. I always wondered if I should have raised a question about them, but I hardly knew them at that point so didn't want to push my luck. Opportunity missed? I'll never know.

Denema: i'm not sure if giving an enema to the boss's wife would be more foolish or more courageous! the enema could have cost you your job!!

You got off easy. When I was the same age you describe our daddy (my twin brother's and mine) made a point of having mother leave the syringe along with the other enema paraphernalia out on the bedside table when visitors came. He got a big kick out of watching their reaction and teasing us right in front of them!

As we have only one bathroom in our house, to keep my wife from having to explain to her friends, I have to put all enema things away once they are dry. She is Definitely not into them, and this is a condition of continued peace in our domain...

My husband and I keep all our S&M and enema stuff hidden.

What we do in our spare time is nobody's business.

No S&M stuff in our house, but our plentiful supply of enema things are cleaned and stored after we're done. It's just better that way. There's too many people in our over-medicated (i.e. laxatives) society who might question the need for enemas, necessary or recreation ones.

Growing up, we had a black combination enema bag/hot water bottle that was stored in a cupboard. It was used on me only once when I was about 4 years old. (That was the experience that gave me my interest and love of enemas!)

When we moved to another house this enema bag "disappeared" and, as far as I know, it never was replaced. However, my mother did have an amber latex open-top bag used for douching. Must admit that I used it for a few enemas myself.

In our home I always put my enema things away. They're mainly stored in the bathroom in closed baskets on a shelf over the toilet but are not in open view.

When I was growing up we had a big red rubber douche/enema open top fountain syringe hanging behind our bathroom door. It remained there (there were a few replacements over the years, all of a similar model) from the time I was born up until my mother became too old to remain in her own home. She came to live with me and my family and I took the bag and continue to use it to this day. However it is now stored in a closet and not hanging on display behind the bathroom door.
