Anyone have trouble with butt plugs?

I recently found a plug that I thought I would like. It's not too big about as wide as a regular dildo. I find I just can't get it in. I have tried all kinds of lube and it just hurts too bad. I can easily get in my wifes penis shaped dildo and can take and hold three quarts easily also. Is it just me?
