Favorite Enema Positions Archived (2007-2012)

Left Side seems to work the best. I have tried knee chest, but that seems to put the nozzle. Flat on my stomach works ok too, but adds pressure.

I like to be flat on my back with my knees up. Sometimes i put a pillow under my lower back. i've tried the side positions but don't enjoy them as much.

I have tried almost all the positions. I usually lay on my left side or on my back with my knees bent up. Once in awhile I'll do the knee chest position.

I favour the on back with bum up in air on couple of pillows ,feet to the chest . This works great for bulb and also the bag .

I also like standing up with the bag . Never tried with the bulb .

All this advice is very good. The one position the medical profession will never endorse, but, in my mind it is the best. Laying flat on your back, hips elevated 2-3 inches (with a couple of towels. From your perspective your can work the water up into the colon by palpatating your colon with your finger tips. Your giver gets a great view if you have a mate. The science in it is the water never has to flow up hill. Very relaxing

I like lying on my tummy (i.e. prone) during insertion and the first part of the fill as I can fantasise and feel more vulnerable. I then finish it off in the Sims position to allow my tummy to expand.

Standing up can be fun, but I generally prefer to be parallel to the floor. Doesn't matter much whether I'm lying on my back, side or front. But then I enjoy relaxing, sensual sessions.

I am glad to find out that soomeone else likes taking their enamas standing up. I was beginning to think no one else prefered standing. I find it more pleasurable taking my enema standing up. It's easier to get the nozzle in, and it gives access to everything, but I find it really hard to take a full quarts in this position. I seem to cramp less on my right side or knee-chest for some reason.

When I was a child I received enemas over the knees but later in life took them bent over the edge of the bathtub with my elbows resting on the inside of the tub. Now my preferred position is on my back laying in the bathtub. I like to look up at the bag and watch it getting smaller and smaller until it is flat.

My favorite position is on my back. I usually do it on the bathroom floor laying on a towel with a pillow for my head. The most comfortable place is on my bed but there a leak could be bigger problem.

I like being able to rub and massage my stomach as it expands and see the bag as it empties. I am usually using a 4 quart bag and can only rarely take all of it. But it is interesting to see just how much is left and how I am doing.

It might be different if I had someone to give me enemas and tell me how much is left.

I guess it's a matter of personal preference, but I still prefer the old left sims position. The laying on back position is however the position of choice when you get a machine colonic, because it helps with expulsion of waste into the speculum.

Any kind of laying-down position is the best. It frees you from the task of having to keep balanced and lets you relax some very important muscles.

I wish I could take a whole enema on my back. 😢 I love the way the water feels running into me while on my back. 😃 My problem is I have a very small bathroom and that position is just about impossible to do. If I do lay on my back, then when I get up after a good fill, I usually leak a lot and not and then it is difficult to get up. I have to roll onto either my right side or left side and then get up.
