I like knee-chest to start and then switch to my back and then standing for the last little bit.I can only hold 2 qts for about 5 min----1 qt is no problem to hold for 30 min. I am slowly becoming able to hold more for longer.I prefer cool or cold water as I can feel it more as it goes from left to right

While sitting on the toilet. My mother took her enemas that way and also gave them to me that way. It was when I became an adult that I found out that enemas were given in a lot of different positions.
Positions seem to be dictated by the occasion. For a totally relaxing experience, a slow fill while lying on one's back makes it easy to apply massage to help the solution enter. For punishment, a forced and restrained (hog-tie) knee-chest position seems a must, especially if a partner is administering. Regardless of the position for filling, I find it a good idea, once the solution is in, to rotate through many positions so that the solution reaches all parts of the colon.
For me, an enema is a wonderful way for realxing, so lying on my back, with just a cushion under my buttocks, is one of my favorites.I don't consider an enema as a punishment.
I like to be on my knees, with my ass in the air, and take it...it makes me feel submissive, even though I am alone, and after a bag of two, I release into the tub and that feels wonderful.
I prefer to do it on my back but it only works in the bedroom. I can see everything because I have a mirror right there and I can massage as the water is going in. It just makes it hard to get off of the bed afterwards and get to the toilet.
Only tried this once, in the shower preped for deep enema, I placed my back against the shower wall with my legs extended toward the ceiling and spread wide, ass cheeks were against the wall also, like standing on your head,I inserted my seperate large enema nozzle into my well lubed ass and then applied the female hose pipe inside of it, well it was hands off and well received, all the way in as the enema flowed , taking the other nozzle with it, hose and all. Was a feeling I haven't gotten over yet.
While my favorite position has been lying on my left side, as of late I discovered that instead of completely lying down if I instead partially come up a bit to a sitting on my left side, my second and third enemas when I doing a series go in with less cramping. (I like cramps, but don't like it went they prevent me from taking a full bag.) Logically, you would think sitting up a bit would make the enema worse..
Lay over a ladies fleece blanket covered lap like mom used to do.Getting a good soap suds enema using a vintage red Davol enema bag with red hose and black enema nozzel.
There's no way I can stand unsupported during an erotic enema. When aroused, I can go too weak in the knees. Leaning over a sofa, desk, etc. works, but lying is lovely--and not on a hard floor.
I believe that those of us that come here give and take enemas for several reasons; constipation, illness, general health and quite frankly for recreation. I take them alone and, give to and receive them, from my husband for the first three and the last reasons.For the last reason, depending on the type of “recreation” it can be the knee chest position which provides pleasurable access both manual and visual, other times it may be standing in the shower with accompanying manual caressing or added “stimulation where it counts.” But the best for both of us in on the back lying across the bed hips near the edge, knees drawn back and the giver kneeling in front during the injection using a bulb or bag with a colon tube or special nozzle connected and then through the holding period providing plenty of manual and oral TLC.Marlene

[color=#333333]Most of my play is solo. It seems that with a partner more options are availab[/color]le. I guess this next comment sort of falls in line with positions. I love the enema experience. The least favorite part for me is the voiding after the enema. I'm sure other can attest to the best positions for voiding whilst letting go. Something that has worked repeatedly for me is when sitting on the commode I put my hands on the back of my head and straighten out my back as best I can. A little side to side motion seems to allow the solution to be voided pretty rapidly. I think this works because it lessens the impingement on the colon. Any others have similar experiances?
Pretty interesting. Mostly right side for me, but I also enjoy knee-chest. If I am taking more than one, I try to vary the positions.If I am receiving from a partner, I really like knee-chest or back.If I am giving, then I dictate the position based on my understanding of what works best for her. I like to give with her in the knee-chest position, and she finds that either on her side or knee-chest is best. On her back is decidedly less comfortable.
On my back is only one of several position. None is absolutely better than others. I assume "on my back" when I want a slow, relaxing and sweet enema.Is easier to massage distended belly, and make some funny sloshing noises.During a good enema even noises are an enjoyable part.Happy E.Acquaman
I take almost all of my enemas lying on my back. It's extremely comfortable. I'll frequently roll over to my right side for a few moments once I'm starting to get rather full so that the water will more completely fill my colon, but then it's back onto my back for the remainder of the enema. I used to take all of my enemas in the bathtub, but I've started to take them on my bed as well. If I'm extremely full and I'm concerned about making a mess once I'm filled up, I'll carry the bag with me and remove the nozzle as I hover over the toilet.
I will say lying on my back would be the most comfortable, but most of my enemas are standing up. I have taken enemas in the hot tub and this is really relaxing. I have taken them lying in a warm bath, but if I were to choose between the hot tub and the bathtub, the hot tub would win hands down.I also usually stand up with the bag high. I do sometimes lie on my bed on my back and this is the most comfortable way to take an enema in my opinion.Bill
Lying on your back looking up at the bag can be a very enjoyable experience, and I will do that from time to time, along with every other position that is physically possible.
Self administration: left side knees drawn up to chest. Recieving on my back knees wide and drawn up to my chest so I can see the "giver" at work.
