Enema Addiction or Dependency??

When I travel, which is not often anymore, the first thing I do after unpacking is head to the shower. I use my shower shot to do some cleaning out. Then later I do a series of enemas to clean myself all out.

I do unpack, put the dirty clothes in the laundry. I then do my quick enema. I hate to use public restrooms, many of them are gross, so I am a bit constipated when I get home. I also have to get rid of some of the junk food I have eaten.

I don't travel much now, in the past I would be gone for the weekend and come home. I don't mind using a public restroom to pee, but to sit down on a toilet is not for me.

I take enough drugs now that I feel the need to use my shower shot and clean the lower portion of me out each day. One drug binds me up, so I make sure I go some every day. When I do a good clean out then I can wait a day to have a small enema. Nothing has moved down that fast.

Yes. And no. It's a habit in the sense I do an enema when my body "signals" me that I need an enema (2-3, really). That's usually when I slow down and I'm not properly emptying, and THAT is normally 2-3X per week. I gain pleasure from them, sure, and they really up my libido and erections, but the actual REASON is the cleansing. Of course, since they have so many "side benefits," I probably would do them anyway. Wouldn't you? I love to give, and I would happily devote workdays to giving enemas to thirsty female bottoms--"always more than you want, and every bit as much as will go in."

Yes. And I need rehab.

Why I enema:

Health - to get all the toxins out of my system

Constipation - relief

Sexy - I find giving, receiving, and watching good enema porn very sexy

Sex - sharing and having sex while giving and/or receiving and enema is the ultimate in sex

Here's hoping my wife will give me a 3-quart intervention 😜

Since I normally have long stretches of weeks to months without taking actual enemas IRL, I might not call it addiction. However, since I've enjoyed them for over 50 years and I at least think about them every single time I think about orgasms or sex, it at least falls into the "constantly desired, frequently indulged" category.

Eric

They can be if you get careless.

This is WHY it's so important that you have some days of normal non-enema induced, non laxative induced bowel movements between enema sessions.

Another thing to be careful of: If you enhance the enema with a laxative before or after, it's better not to use the SAME laxative on consecutive sessions.

That's right. Few days gap between 2 enema sessions is very important to maintain natural flora of intestine.

Addicting probably not but certainly pleasurable!!

@LisaK is right! Allow me to explain: I carelessly let myself become addicted @eeetime due to being a klismo AND having IBS with constipation. I have had lots and lots of enemas all my life. Now, in my seventies, I need a soap enema just to to have a bowel movement. In a crazy way, I almost like that.

Don't follow in my footsteps - even though strong soapsuds enemas feel wonderful, sexual, give me lots and lots of fantasies and orgasms, the hard truth is......I am 100 percent dependent on my enema bag every single day to provide me with the bowel movement I need just to feel BETTER and empty me out. I have lots of gas and bloating.

So the advice is correct to let yourself have a normal bowel movement between enema sessions. (Take it from somebody who knows.)

FYI: I an still a "hard core" klismo and I have no doubt it will stay that way.

Fully agree with several posts below. They can become a necessary evil or pleasure you are full dependent upon for elimination.

After high volume enemas, it is best to allow your function to return before taking any further enemas of consequence. That way normal peristalsis resumes.

I have in younger years violated this concept a couple of times, only to suffer bouts of constipation for days after using high volume enemas for three or more consecutive days. I sweated it out for several days after with laxatives and suppositories waiting for normal habits to return. I now allow at least 2 to 3 days between syringings.

I do agree that enemas should be used with some degree of moderation. I check in here frequently, but not necessarily in conjunction with an actual enema.

While the physical addiction may be less of a concern, there is certainly some psychological obsession hence the idea of an equipment fetish and a paraphilia.

This is WHY it's so important that you have some days of normal non-enema induced, non laxative induced bowel movements between enema sessions.

@LisaK

I'm lucky that after a good enema I go on my own for the next few days.

I do find that a good enemas, as well giving me a good cleaning, it releases pleasurable endorphins. It's a legal high on so many fronts 🌹

My wife gives me Miralax with my morning Probiotic drink. I typically get the urge a few hours after I drink it. But what comes up are more like rabbit poop, and I do need, at least, a weekly cleaning.

You go with the flow, girl 😃 . Admitting that you are a, "hard core klismo" is the first step to further enjoyment ... 🌹

Not sure but I'm hooked, have been off and on for ~ 58 years I'm 64. There have been periods of many years without one but I enjoy the feel too much and end up back doing them again.

For me what's addicting is the ass stretching session with my plugs and or anal sex that follows the enema. I like enemas but my only need for them is to be clean for ass play.

As a giver, I find it also addictive. It's a mix of humiliation and kinky pleasure if you spice it up with massage and some erotic spanks. But it's important to be realistic and to know our limit to keep it enjoyable. otherwise there is no point if every enema would be only point

Addicting or not, I love them...

@miker said,

Addicting or not, I love them...

Like @miker said, “Addicting or not, I love them...” And have for over 70 years.

I do a good clean our when I feel myself getting bloated and backed up. Sometimes it’s weekly, sometimes times it’s biweekly, and other times it’s monthly. Depends on how active I’ve been, and what’s been going on in my life. During summer months it’s generally biweekly or monthly. In winter, it’s weekly or biweekly. But that doesn’t stop the occasional enema for pleasure in between. After I’ve had an enema for pleasure or a good clean out, I’ve always gone normally within 24 to 36 hours.

My brother, sister, an I did enemas together after being taught by our RN grandmother to self administer. Within a few months we were giving each other enemas three or four times a week, starting at age twelve and ending when we graduated from High School. Never an issue going normally within a day or so.

The first five or six years after my ex wife and I were married in our early 20’s, we did enemas three or four times a week and neither of us ever had any issuers going normally within a day or so. Our two kids received enemas per their Pediatrician when needed for constipation or when sick till age 18, and neither had an issue going normally within a day or so.

I can only speak for family members that use or have used enemas in the past. Go normally afterwards was never an issue, even when done three or four times a week. I’m not saying, that it can’t happen. I’m only saying, we never had that issue in over 70 years.

Whether there is a health benefit to enemas or not (and there isn't other than constipation relief), they may be relaxing, sexual, or give you a sense of euphoria. Nothing wrong with tjat. There's another thread asking if masturbation is addictive. Taking regular enemas or masturbating only becomes an addiction if it adversely interferes with your normal life, work, health, or relationship.

Way back many decades ago I remember reading that taking too many enemas might make a person dependent upon them. I never understood that, since no matter how many enemas I would take, I never had a problem going back to being regular once I would stop. Where I did have a problem was the connection between enemas and the sexual pleasure I get taking them. Getting horny and wanting an enema - that's my dependency. Try as I used to do by throwing away all my enema bags; I could never undo that enema-sexual connection and I finally accepted it when I was in my mid-40's.

I think whether enemas are addicting or not varies with the person. For some, maybe, for most not. Not everyone who has a drink of alcohol becomes an alcoholic, some do. I think it is the same with enemas.

For me, I am probably addicted although it is mental rather than physical. If I do not have an enema for a few days I am able to have a natural bowel movement on the second day. But - after a few days I get the feeling that I "need" an enema, even if I have used the toilet just an hour before. I believe I am addicted to the feeling of general well-being after a good enema.

I like enemas for a number of reasons:

1. a good hot enema helps drain my prostate. I always find prostate fluid inside the toilet after a good enema (series).

2. I love the empty feeling I get when I'm done and emptied out.

3. I enjoy the sexual fantasies of giving what I'm getting to either a willing or unwilling female (unwilling, but obedient).

4. I also enjoy the thought of having a kind woman give me large enemas (easier to fill with a partner).

5. I love the sensations of the nozzle (I move it in and out) and the water entering me. I don't mind cramps, but I HATE leaking. That's probably the reason that I'm limited to about 2.5 qts. When my anal sphincter was more "obedient," I used to easily take two drugstore bags, always advertised as 2 qts each. I have a 4 qt. Klystra bag which I've measured and created graduated markings on, so I generally know my amounts well.

6. I enjoy the expulsions, and emptying out completely.

7. When I have the opportunity to give, I really enjoy that (it's my favorite).

8. I don't have gas, bloating, or that "stopped up" feeling for a few days after a good enema series. That alone is worth the process.

All that is great, and yet I doubt I'm addicted, except in the sense of wanting a good enema series, give or get, when convenient.

Timing: I like to do enemas once to 4X per week, but I often go for a month without. A couple summers ago, I had the opportunity to do daily enemas for almost three weeks. At the end, when expelling, I discovered what others say could be parasites--white stringy (but apparently nonliving) threads from deep in my colon. Still don't know what those were, but they grossed me out. Only happened one time.

That's the best description I've heard to describe the way my mother was with enemas! I don't think enemas were sexual for her like they are for me, thought it might just be a case of a child not wanting to think of his mom doing something sexual.

Addicting? Yes, psychologically indeed they are. If they truly become physically necessary, that is a dependency possibly brought on by over use or maybe some internal physical problem. Perhaps both.

I use enemas once, sometimes twice a week. I do not allow dependency by making certain I return to normal elimination before another enema session is done.

My enjoyment of the practice is quite a lot like Doctorh3 below describes. It's not worth re stating what he just wrote about quite well. I would add that I marvel every next day after high volume enemas at how clean and empty I feel. Like the need for enemas itself, my day after feelings may also be psychological; but they seem incredibly real to me.

I would add that what Doctorh3 saw during expulsion after three weeks of enemas every day MAY have been the mucousal lining of the colon partially stripping away. I have seen it in my use of enemas and it did not prove problematic for me. Though it did scare me a bit until I figured out what it was. Strong soaps or other substances can cause it if repeated often.

If having regular enemas for fun is an addiction then I'm addicted and proud of it.

I guess it can be said that I'm addicted to having my plug inside me and enemas are a enjoyable necessity for that so I guess I'm happily addicted to both. 😀

Addicting yes.

I received enemas as a child growing up and I hated them so much. Once they stopped after a few weeks my cravings started and started sneaking them on my own. I don’t know how to explain what enemas make me feel but yes I am addicted.

I have been enjoying enemas most of my life. I love everything about them from the smell of our vintage rubber enema bag to the feeling of fullness and empty feeling. We have been taking weekly enemas for over 35 years.

Been addicted for seventy plus years. From the first enema I remember my grandmother giving me at age four.

Who?

Me addicted?

Hell no ….. I'm not addicted. I can quit anytime I want.

Honest ….. I can.

Regular use of enemas is not an addiction. Consider it a hobby. For either a giver or receiver.

Okaaaaaay !!

Did you know “That” at one time this odd phenomena was referred to as “The Enema Habit”

Habit !!! . .I'd "Go” with that😁
