Enemas and Constipation

I don't keep laxatives in the house and suppositories don't work on me all that good. About once a month I get constipated. I can't "go" or it is a struggle to go. After 2 days, I get the bag out and take a good enema. I try to take the whole bag on a full bowel. Lots of deep breaths and a little panting. Reminds me of when I was growing up and got an enema after 3 or 4 without a bowel movement.

I have had some problems with constipation over the years. When I do get constipated, I will take some Milk of Magnesia. If I do not have results in 24 hours, I take another dose. If that does not work, then I take an enema. I think I have had 3 enemas in my life time. I found them to be unpleasant but they have always solved my constipation problem.

Good diet is the key to preventing constipation.
