After reading the most recent posts, I thought it might be prudent to re-state a combination of what I have posted in this board and another in this sight.
Around 11 or 12, as a direct extension of self administering enemas from age 9,I began to experiment with urethral play. At the age of 16, when I began to drive, I went to local pharmacies and bought catheters after having spent time in the library of the local nursing college studying the procedure. All of the text stressed emphatically proper size, lubrication, and gentleness.
The very first time I cathe'd myself, I clamped the end, completely lubricated the catheter, inserted the tip, and as slowly and gently as possible, slid the cath in. I came up against the prostate, instead of forcibly pushing, I kept even pressure on it so it would not slide back out and held it in position. As I sat there, I gently gave it a little turn and relaxed as though I was going to urinate. I could feel the tip starting to slide forward, so then and only then did I continue to gently push. After passing my prostate, it moved in more easily. I had only one negative experience, that was in regards to sanitation. I learned very quickly, being that I do not enjoy UTI(urinary tract infection) and from that point to present use sanitary/sterile procedures.
At the age of 18 in 1970, I was in a life threatening vehicle accident. When I came to in I.C.U., I let them know I had to urinate and was moved to a commode to pass urine. I was still in a physically traumatized state and had to sit there to think about releasing in order to urinate. A nurse stood outside the door pestering and annoying me to the extent that I could not relax enough to urinate. Being that my jaws were wired shut from the accident and I had temporary paralysis of one of my arms due to spinal injury, I could not effectively communicate to her to shut up and leave me alone. The next thing I knew, I was forcibly pulled off the commode, put back on the hospital bed,and forcibly catheterized, all the while protesting the best I was able to just leave me alone and I would go on my own, to no avail. As a result, it was a number of years(somewhere between 2-4) before I had any interest in catheter /urethral play. Slowly, I began to remember that I found that pleasurable,so I slowly, began to experiment and play again.
I want you to know that urethral/cath/sound play can be extremely fun and pleasurable providing a constant source of erotic/orgasmic pleasure if done on your terms using your boundaries,no one else's. Visits to doctors and clinics involving procedures requiring catheterization need not be unpleasant and traumatic if you tell them assertively to "watch it and you will stop the procedure if they do not do it right", any medical professional worth their certification will respect that and accept that "no & stop" means "no & stop".
It can be extremely fun if done gently and sensibly while respecting your and others boundaries. The following is a generalization based on my experiences that you may find helpful, some of you probably already know some of the things I will mention below. I have done US (urethral stimulation) on myself since my early teens, with women only after I was living on my own.
With men, it causes delightful erotic sexual stimulation, passing through the prostate is not always a must. With women, there is often a companion/similar experience, being that women and men have the same nerve endings in the genital area.
1) In all cases, for the beginner, sounds and catheters need to be slightly smaller than your urethra.
2) In all cases, sounds and catheters need to be well lubricated(with a sterile lubricant to prevent UTI,urinary tract infection and tearing of tissue) before insertion.
3) In all cases, sounds or other devices that are to be inserted and then re-used must be aseptic(cleaned and then washed with alcohol)to prevent UTI(urinary tract infection).
4) In all cases, catheters must be sterile(sealed sterile package) and then disposed of after use,to prevent UTI(urinary tract infection), period.
5) In all cases, hands & fingernails must be clean, in situations involving partners, gloves are strongly suggested to prevent UTI(urinary tract infection).
6) In all cases and circumstances be gentle, if it hurts..stop..something is not right, period.
It is my hope that you will find something in these thoughts that will lead you to another aspect of delightful eroticism. I humbly hope that you can find something useful in what I have shared here, and that you always feel free to express your thoughts here. 😃
Sincerely,
GN 😃
