From what I am gathering, it seems that these unique enemas are again gaining in popularity. I feel that I am reading more and more accounts of nurses saying they have administered them lately. I am old and have been in nursing for many years and never given one, but have read several recent accounts on numerous sites of young nurses on the floor giving them.Nurses, is this true?
I finally got to try one for myself a couple of weeks ago and it actually wasn't too bad, just really sticky. the warm milk and syrup felt really nice. I would definately try it again sometime when I get the chance.
Another recipe that is close to this M and M is baking soda and sugar. Lots of post injection cramping and it will continue to induce strong cramping for about 30 to 40 minutes after elimination. It will also continue to draw fluid into the colon from the body and you will have up to at least 12 return trips to the toilet, in which each time the solution will becum clearer and clearer. It is a very good purging enema, used years ago to prep colon for diagnostic procedures, before the other prep salt solutions that you now drink came onto the market. Have fun
I was punished from my Mom and she used M&M enema to me. I feel really really uncomfortable and extremely difficult to hold it just in few minutes but my mom forced me to hold at least 5 minutes. It was very terrible for me. When my mom let me to go. I run as fast as I can to the toilet and even didn't have time to close the door. I exploded with a lot of loudly wet farts that everyone in my house all listen what happened to me. I totally be humiliated and felt really embarrassed because my brother still at home at that time. How can this recipe create the strong effect like that.
I beleive the lactose in the milk reacts with the sugar in the molasses and produces a gas.The colon doesn't like to be stretched at all, hence the cramping when constipated.I have had the dreaded M&M enema numerous years ago, but not for punishment. An adventure i will never forget.
The subject of "M&M" triggered a memory; I remember returning home from a week-long flight around the State of Montana horribly constipated.(I had the greatest job in the 60's. I sold airplane parts in the States of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Alaska. Instead of a company car I was given a Beech Debonair. --wonderful job!)Anyway my wife at the time tried to give me a few S/S enemas to no avail. She called a nurse girlfriend who suggested a M&M....gave her the recipe and she proceeded to administer it. I do remember that we were using a Jones Irrigator at the time....don't recall nozzle; probably a black douche nozzle. Anyway, I don't recall any unusual unpleasantness butt it did get the job done. --the prior s/s enemas probably had something to do with it.That was the only time. (I didn't have the recipe...and that wife is long gone.the boxcar
I to have tried M&M a few times...Guess my colon is a bit jaded since everytime, I never felt that intense cramping and urge to expell that so many report...Am I doing somethuing wrong? I usually use a cup of black molasses to a quart of warm milk...should I increase the volume with more water? Milk? Molasses? Or perhaps it is retention time...maybe If I held it longer it would have a chance to "work up some steam"....Any thoughts? My fav cramp inducing enema is liquid glycerin, ivory soap and 3 qts of very warm water...
The M&M enema is an old nursng legend. As I recall, we mixed equal amounts of warm whole milk with an equal amount of molasses abd administered high up with a long colon tube. I think that the theory is that the mixture ferments with the colonic bacteria producing lots of gas....which means if you hold it you will get really crampy, noisy results. I'm old enough to remember giving them as a nurse, my GF is younger and never heard of this, but wanted to try it. When I saw her unpacking the groceries which included a bottle of molasses and a carton of minlk, I knew that she was serious. I mixed equal amounts of each and warmed them in a micro then transferred the mix to a bag with a long colon tube attached. I have it to her slowly as she was in the usual knee-chest style and she took every drop. I told her that she had to hold it since it takes a while to work. In a short while her tummy started rumbling but she held it like a trooper. In a little while she yelled that she really had to go and I slipped a large stainless steel bedpan under her and helped her sit up on the pan. Before i even got her pillows adjusted, she had a tremendous BM followed by a huge amount of gas. Mission accomplished.
I have never tried using milk in an enema ,but I have added molasses to different enemas and that sure does create gas
Hi guysMolasses doesn't appear to be something you can grab off the average shelf in the UK, but we do have black treacle in every supermarket store. Could this be used as a substitute in a 'milk and molasses' enema? Thanks 😃
Anything with a high sugar content will work. The key is the flora in the colon fermenting the sugar.
Molasses isn’t easy to find here either, at least under that name, but I’m not sure there’s actually a difference between treacle and molasses. At any rate, milk and treacle is very effective indeed, so it would seem to be an adequate substitute!
Black treacle and molasses are pretty much the same thing so go for it! Although milk and molasses does sound better to me than a milk and black treacle enema.
Having read some of the recipes on here, decided it's time to try a few out that I've not tried before.Plucking up the courage to try the mollasses & milk. bought the mollasses today!love to hear some comments from anyone who's tried this!
I have a question - to get the best cramping effect when using a milk and molasses enema - is it better to have a full colon or empty -If the answer is full - then taking a bulking agent like metimucil - will that increase the cramping experience -Another question - i have seen various recipes for the MM - some say 8 oz of mollasses and 8 oz of milk - others say 16 oz of molasses and 16 of milk - what would be the effect if one did - ( 32 oz of molasses and 32 oz of milk - thereby having a 2 quart mixture )
When I have been given a milk and molasses enema it has always been with 8oz of milk and 8oz of molasses. This has been proceeded by a small soapsuds enema using a bulb syringe and followed by two, 2qt soapsuds enemas and a 2qt water rinse enema. This is not an easy procedure to go through.A 16oz m and m enema will produce cramping if held for a few minutes. I do not think one could hold a 32 oz m and m enema.
Another Question - I know that the MM mixture has a powerful impact if your colon is full - I wonder what impact if any would it have if taken on an empty colon - say after one has done other enemas prior to doing a MM recipe - while doing a series enema session ?One more question - if i induced constipation - would the effect of the MM enema be greater - ie in the cramping department -
I find that I cause more intense cramping by using milk and honey. Then inserting a retention device.
This past week I was taking some new medication and also got knocked off my regular bowel program so ended up being unusually constipated. I was born with Spina Bifida and use a soap suds enema every other day to keep things working. Fortunately for me my long term girlfriend is a nurse who loves to give enemas and usually administers. After 3 enemas this week that didn't produce results we were both concerned. Laxatives have a terrible effect on my system so I avoid them at all cost. Then up came the topic of an M & M which she said they call a 'Brown Cow'. She then took to the Internet and looked up the recipe for a Milk & Molasses enema from a nurse's site. I had heard of them and was very reluctant but she was heating up the ingredients before I could even say no. She used 8 oz. of whole milk and 8 oz. of Blackstrap Molasses and quickly put the warm mixture in a disposable enema bag. After a few unsuccessful attempts at getting convincing her to reconsider she rolls the enema/IV stand into the bathroom and I am bent over with a single balloon retention nozzle inside me. She starts the M&M solution and quickly has the small (by my normal standard) amount of solution deep into my bowels. It was aver odd sensation and got stranger the longer I held it in. She kept it in me for over ten minutes and really didn't find it that difficult to hold. Once the nozzle was removed it wasn't the explosive effect her nursing people suggested but again after a lifetime of regular enemas I never had one that felt like this one did. As time went on the cramps built and built and it was surely doing what it was intended to but I never expected it to continue like it did. For almost 16 hours I did nothing but expel. At times I had terribly nausea but that luckily passed after the first couple of hours. Bottom line it cleaned me out everything even though I was severely constipated but 16 hours of cramps, painful gas and a complete clean out of my system I can say I hope I never have to repeat that one!
Greg, I too have been severely constipated many times due to medications and a have had a M&M enemas given to me. They are not plesant to take, at least for me, especially if given as a high enema. I must say though that they are very, very effective. They keep working for a long time and cause cramping over a period of time. Following this enema at least one soap suds enema will be necessary.
My first M&M enema caught me by surprise, leaked getting to toilet. My second one I used a balloon nozzle to help hold it until I could get to toilet. They are very intense enemas.
The one thing about a M&M enema is that you do not need a lot of volume. I make this recipe up with 4 oz of each, use a colon tube to get it up high, after first taking a small SSE to clear the way for the M&M. It produces tremendous cramping and expels quickly. I usually follow up with 2 qt salt and baking soda enema to clear out the residual M&M, and leave the colon balanced. Like all enema series, you feel great afterwards.
Janet, thanks for the advice on the follow-up ss enema. It will probably come in handy since yesterday my girlfriend came in from the grocery store and pulled out a new bottle of molasses with a 'just in case' explanation. Just seeing the bottle on the counter made me nervous.
I had a M/M two days ago. 1 qt. whole milk and 1 jar of molassas. Definatly a cleanout! Some cramps and the gas lasted about 24 hours.
I have never tried an m & m solutionsbut I am very curious in trying it how bad of cramping should I expect and should we try a lighter solution ??
I never found them to be crampy. They just give me several return trips to the toilet AFTER I have been cleaned out. The retrun trips are to expel clear watery, mucousy excretions.
Thank you Susiecan you recommend a mixture for me to start withamounts of both milk and molassesand do you recommend taking a couple of enemas before the M&M solution ??
