To be honest, I think about taking them far more often than I have time to indulge. Zity doesn't help much by driving me wild with desire, but in my world, tease and denial is a way of life. I marvel at people here on Zity who have time for a daily one or two or more.
I think I'll do one (or two or more) tonight which will be the first time in about a month. What I want to try is a method I saw posted as an alternative to the elusive JBL sit-on. Suggestion was to use a HWB, insert hose and sit on it. Seems simple enough and I can't visualize why it wouldn't work. I have a very nice heavy duty 4-qt. bag with a German name that I got at least 10 years ago (can't remember where though). It's worth a try. Otherwise there is my favorite go-to Silicone Nozzles balloon retention nozzle which I adore. Note: While on vacation in March, I found a pristine wooden box a JBL had come packed in. It's in the living room on the coffee table. It should be good for an interesting conversation if the right person ever recognizes it for what it is.
Even if I had the time, I don't think my system could take a daily regimen. After a long hiatus, I know I over did last month with too many high volume enemas right out of the starting gate. Felt way off for several weeks. Going to ease back in, or at least try. That said, I can resist anything but temptation.
When I read that wonderful, nice people on this forum have been taking daily enemas for decades without any problems, my only question is to myself (and I'm not trying to start anything, okay?) is "if you do it every day without fail and have done so for decades, how would you know if you were dependent or not?
With regards to the original question, I'm sure you could blow yourself up but it would probably require a firehose or high pressure pump to make it happen. Nearly 500 years ago, Swiss physician and chemist Paracelsus expressed the basic principle of toxicology: “All things are poison and nothing is without poison; only the dose makes a thing not a poison.” This is often condensed to: “The dose makes the poison.” It means that a substance that contains toxic properties can cause harm only if it occurs in a high enough concentration.
In other words, any chemical—even water and oxygen—can be toxic if too much is ingested or absorbed into the body. The toxicity of a specific substance depends on a variety of factors, including how much of the substance a person is exposed to, how they are exposed, and for how long.
We do what we talk about here because we love what we do. Play safe, play smart, use some common sense and don't try to make it into the Guinness Book of World Records for: largest volume, longest and thickest nozzle, highest pressure or weirdest concoction ever attempted and you should be fine and happy and healthy for a long time to come. BTW: As Fred Thompson used to say "Why do they call it common sense when it is so uncommon?"
