How or where have you seen these publications? I'd be interested in reading them (or seeing them, as I don't speak German.)
These are all old publications, from prior to 1933 in Germany and prior to 1938 if published in Vienna when publications of this type were banned in NSDAP Germany. Most date from the late 1920's to the mid 1930's.
You can find these books via the secondhand book market, either by obsessively going to every antique, junkshop or old bookshop you come across, or also on-line. They were all profusely illustrated and bound in attractive coverings, so they usually do not get thrown away on inheritance, but are often sold off to secondhand dealers of all kinds. Several of these titles have been reprinted in facsimile editions.
Anyway here are a few good titles. Naturally all authors were 'doctors' of one kind or another.
'Dr.' Ernst Schertel was very productive and published a number of titles having to do with flagellation and punishment:
Der Komplex der Flagellomanie
Der Erotische Komplex - four volumes
Der Flagelantismus als Literarisches Motiv - several volumes
Dr. Heinz Woerenkamp/Dr. Gertrude Perkauf - Erziehungs-Flagellantismus
You can also find some information on these publications and on Dr. Schertel as well in this modern book called "Voluptuous Panic - the Erotic World of Weimar Berlin' by Mel Gordon. Feral House Publications. isbn - 1-932595-11-2. This is also profusely illustrated with period imagery and contains lots of info on the period.
