I don't take magnesium supplements. Or any other supplements
I DO use Epsom Salt in a strong cleansing enema.
The usual method is to about an hour early, get everything set up, and then take the bisacodyl tablets,
Then I go to my stash of soap bars floating in water and give all of them a good shake Exactly like the night before.
I take one off the shelf and I go to my 3-qt HWB style bag. I fill it approximately half way with the then cold soapsuds. I then get on the scale and determine how much Epsom Salt I will need. I measure that amount out into a measuring cup and add it through a funnel to the bag. I then get the air out of the hose and close the valve. I get the water scalding hot and fill the bag the rest of the way with scalding water. After I've attached the hose I carry it into the bedroom and simply lay it on the bed. I then go back into the bathroom and pee, so that the pressure on the lower abdomen will be from the enema only.
I'm usually in a nightgown at that point, If not I get into my knee-length dorm shirt or my bath robe.
I make sure my bite rag is in easy reach and the clock is where I can see it clearly
I turn the bag around and up and down a few times to make sure everything is well mixed.
I then attach the nozzle and hang the bag over the bed. I get on the bed, in knee-chest position with a pillow under my knees, because my chest is rather large.
I take a couple of minutes and try to relax as much as is possible while staying in knee-chest position.
Then I insert the nozzle
I've posted may times what happens from there.
I just make sure to get the whole 3 qts in and keep it in 15 minutes and not much longer.
Any additional enemas are soapsuds only
