I took a gallon a couple of days ago, and i did it mostly on the back but rolling left to right once in a while and going reeealy slowly. took a long time but i managed a full gallon in, and even held it for a bit. great full sensation. i did not use a retention nozzle either, water just went where it wanted to go. but it stuck inside and wouldn't come out after. is there a way to make water come out better after a large enema like that?
After a three, almost four quart, enema I also waited some time before it started rolling out of me. This was the first time for that experience, so I had a few moments of "holy cow, what did I do to myself?" Patient waiting did the trick and I emptied out to feel great afterwards. I do not know why this happened, only that it did. If I am a bit slow, I will massage my abdomen in circular fashion and that helps.
There are two things to remember about taking a comfortable, effective. 3 to 4 quart high enema:1. Use gravity to get the water deep into the colon;2. Make sure the abdominal muscles are contracted and not preventing the colon from expanding as the enema goes in. For those two reasons, I find the knee-chest position, with head resting on a pillow, knees and hips bent, and butt high in the air is best. If you have a helper, she/he has an easy view and access to the anus (among other things), and can keep the nozzle or colon tube in place while you relax and let the enema fill you up. If you don't have a helper, it's almost mandatory you use some sort of retention device, like a double balloon nozzle. Using a colon tube to get the water past the sigmoid flexure into the transverse colon makes it easier to control the urge to release; however, the tube only needs to go in 12" to 15" to reach the transverse colon.
On your knees is the best position and take deep breaths.Laying on your back with your knees in your chest and standing works for me.
I prefer to be on my knees, bum in the air. More importantly it's always easier for me if someone else is administering the enema. This way I can relax and not worry about anything while the enema fills me up. I'm not sure why but I can always take more water when someone else gives me the enema.
While I prefer lying on my side because it is easier to put things in and to play with them and to watch pron on my laptop, I often end up on my back so that I can play with myself. The main thing in either is to be positioned so that I can see the water going down and the flow meter going around.hankb
I like to end up on my back so that I can clearly see the enema bag and whether it is almost empty, when I am solo. When I have an enema nurse or a dominatrix giving me the enema and it is huge, I really need to be in the knee chest position to take it all. My favorite though is being on my back having the dominatrix straddle my face. Oh my. It has been a while. I think I need an appointment soon.
I think whatever position is most comfortable for you, and that way you aren't concentrating on being in an uncomfortable position, and can relax and get into the enema itself!!!
My best position is on my back, I can watch the water in the bag as it get lower and lower, and its also a position to play with my self and make the enema more enjoyable.
I agree with kid. I put my colon tube in while I am lying on my side and then, as soon as I am able, roll over onto my back.hankb
The trouble I found with the position on the back is that with a very large enema in you - say 6 quarts - the weight can make it a little hard to get up. I start on one side, then turn over to the other side, then finish the last two quarts on my knees, that way I am positioned to get up and admire my distended belly when the full 6 quarts is inside me. I did try refilling my water container after taking 6 quarts to see if I could take any more, but the water simply wouldn't flow into me any more, no matter how hard I tried to relax my belly and make room. So I guess 6 quarts really is my limit.
I agree, my maximum capacity is when i'm in gyno position. But I'm pretty small, my max was 3qt with a lot of difficulty 😜
I find on all fours or standing the side of the bed or table, leaning over placing the arms on the bed/table works well, Then I can judge just how full the belly is getting.
For me personally works on the sims position (left side), then on my back, and next on my right side to finish off the bag.On my second enema, I would be on my knees and my butt in the air the entire time. I know I can get a good large enema in me.
The first time I took 4 quarts II was standing beside the shower with the bag hanging down. I crouched down and the water ran faster, and raised up to make it run slower. I usually could not get a full 4 quarts but I guess the extra flow control allowed me to take it that night. I just knew it was going to work.I have since graduated to 5 quarts, then 6.I use to prefer lying on my back in the bottom of the tub. These days I prefer kneeling on all fours in the tub. I can control the flow somewhat by getting face down in the tub to make it faster. Raise to all fours to slow it a bit. Lean back on my haunches to slow it more, or even raise to sitting back on my heels. When I just let the water flow free it takes about 6 minutes for me to get a 6 quart enema. It just gushes in and the experience, and cramps, can be intense. The ending pressure is also intense and I have to release quickly. These days I am learning to make the water flow slower. Say 12 minutes for a 6 quart enema. I put a timer on to 12 minutes, put my face down in the tub and do not allow myself to even look at the water until the 12 minutes is up. The slower flow causes less cramps and is less intense. Somehow even the ending pressure is less intense. I can hold it a few minutes.
The trouble I found with the position on the back is that with a very large enema in you - say 6 quarts - the weight can make it a little hard to get up. . . .6 quarts only weighs 12 pounds. It sounds like somebody needs to hit the gym! 😁
I generally start out in the Simms position (laying on left side, with right leg slightly pulled up), but find that if I'm going to take a fairly large quantity enema, I will switch positions while filling, and usually end up on my back, with my legs drawn up. For me, this position seems to allow for the maximum capacity with a high degree of comfort.
I commence in the Simms position because I find that the water flows in the best, but after the enema becomes difficult, my knees instinctively straighten out. Huge for me, personally, BTW, tends to mean more than 4 quarts, but, of course, that varies by person.
I almost always start in left-down Simm's (Sim?) position then roll on my back, knees up for a lot of it. If I'm trying to get the water moved around or farther proximal in my colon, I'll switch to right side down plus massaging distal to proximal (L-->R). I may stay there for the rest of it or return to my back, which is where I lie during any length of retention. Occassionally I've fallen asleep on my back during a couple of 4 quart sessions intending a half hour retention, but the snooze made it over an hour. Obviously I must have been enjoying the fullness and distention! I do remember during those and a few other 4-quarters that the feelings were very pleasant, just lying still on my back and occasional finger percussion or mild massages to heighten the sensations. For those, I was either using a Rusch 2/2 DBC or a pretty large (for me, about 1.75" diameter) solid black plastic nozzle which plugs me nicely.Eric
Laying on the back allows a person to massage the filling colon and keep track of the flow rate or whatever. To allow a larger fill, try elevating the hips about 10 inches. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
Eric, an EZM nozzle is a disposable inflatable single balloon nozzle made by the EZM Co., who makes disposable enema bags for BaE's and one use nozzles. They are very inexpensive and can be used many times over. The balloon is made of silicone, with a "cuffalator" attachment to expand it. The cuffs seem to crack on their edges much sooner than the balloons fail. I buy all mine from Optimal Health Network. The whole set is about $25.00, extra cuffs are about $5.00. I always use an EZM, cause my 2 internal sphincter muscles were pulled out during surgery, or destroyed by radiation and I must use an inflatable to hold any larger solution. They sure are a cheap alternative to the $100 to $200 nozzles available on line.
Jim T., thanks a lot. I just looked at the OHN video so I know what it looks like now. Neat little device. How well does it work to stop leakage?Eric
