I regularly have anal fissures which heal well. However, the spots where they have been, remain weak spots. They do not bleed, but when I feel with my finger, it does not feel good at all. Toying my ass or a large BM often causes them to tear open again and bleed.
Today I visited a proctologist to talk about these issues. He performed a DRE and looked at them with a scope. However, because they do not bleed at the moment, he could not officially diagnose a fissure. And hence he also did not have any treatment options.
Normally, they would use nitroglycerin cream, ISDN cream, botox injections, or slicing the muscle as options for healing fissures - but there is nothing to heal. However, these spots definitely aren't entirely healthy either.
Telling him this is limiting me in terms of intimacy yielded the remark to ‘just use my anus what it is intended for’. To me, this is kinda harsh - I got my fissures the first time having sex without lube as a teen - I bled for 6 years before I dared to go to the doctor; and then had 19 more years of recurrences. Since bottoming is for me the most pleasurable part of sex, this has stifled my desire for relationships.
How do you guys deal with anal sex and (the possibility of) fissures? Of course, lots of lube. But still, these weak spots also make the feeling less pleasant (they are slightly painful).
