Something mainstream has appeared in the world of clothing. It is the long tee shirt, long tank top and urban shirt, all sold as men's clothing, These items are available from major sellers, not necessarily from boutique shops. I purchased one and liked it so much, I have ordered two more of different styles and manufacturers, Basically, these garments hang loose and their hemlines drop to mid-calf length, if the correct size is chosen. In effect they are either long tees or dresses, depending on what else is worn. Short shorts don't even show, so the wearer looks like he's wearing a dress. If long pants are worn, it looks like a long tee.
One comment a user stated in a feedback is he actually wears in public a long tee shirt as a sole piece of clothing with nothing underneath and finds it a blast. Comfortable, freedom of motion and a sexy feeling are free of charge with his new discovery of minimalist wear.
Why not? If women get away with wearing dresses or pants, once the domain of men, why can't men do the same, wear pants if they choose or the long tee as a dress, once the domain of women?
Actually, dresses are not exactly new for men according to Wikipedia, in certain times and places, but in North America. one might meet resistance via peer pressure, stares, and ridicule. My guess it might work better on twinks rather than the mature crowd but there are more older guys with the inclination to try it. Any opinions out there? I'd love to try it if I get some positive feedback.
