Hello Jewel,
My wife just turned 50, and she's been dealing with IBS for a couple of years now. Sorry to hear you've developed it, I know how uncomfortable it can make you.
To be honest, IBS has pretty well killed my wife's interest in recieving erotic enemas. Like you, her colon is just too touchy. When you already feel terribly bloated, forcing more volume up there just aggrevates the problem. Pretty well killed anal sex too.
On the plus side, we've found the occasional, very gentle enema to be helpful and soothing with IBS.
The enema must be taken in very small amounts to start, just enough to start your bowels moving. With each insertion, she takes just a little more. Once she begins to evacuate, it gives her great relief from the symptoms. We've been adding baking soda to the enema, she said she believes it's somewhat soothing to her colon.
Unfortunately, only once have we continued into an erotic session. When your colon turns against you, it becomes more and more difficult to think of it as an erogenous zone.
I'm fortunate that she still loves to administer, she's still very playful and sexual. We actually have an ad on this forum looking for a female partner for enema and bi-play. So she hasn't lost the enthusiasm for the erotic nature of the enema. I do miss the exchange, as does she. We had some wild ways of taking enemas together as we had intercourse.
Everyone is different, and you may find that once you have fully evacuated, you feel good enough to continue with an erotic enema. At the very least, I hope the above may help you to find some relief. I'm sure you already know that IBS has been found to have a direct relation to stress, so anything you can do to reduce stress will be helpful. Easier said than done in modern-day, corporate America. We've found that anything you can do to reduce gas is helpful. Sometimes that may mean a change in diet. Ironically, my wife likes to eat healthy, but some of the high-fiber foods actually aggrivate the problem. Even Bean-O or Gas-X has helped at times, as the bloating causes much of the discomfort. Please let us know how you're getting along, and if you find something that works for you. The doctors don't seem to be able to offer much assistance with this issue. Best wishes, John
