I had my ears cleaned last year and found it a little arousing. I had never had one so no idea what to expect. I liked the anticipation of seeing the stuff laid out next to the exam table. He came in and put on some blue rubber gloves and then got a black haircutting cape out and put that on me, which seemed odd but I'm glad he did because water ended up all over it and the floor. He seemed fine making the biggest mess he could. I felt a little embarrassed when a cute nurse came in to ask him a question and I'm sitting there holding a cup thing to my head while he injects water in to my ear which is running down my face and this black cape and dripping on to the floor . . . but maybe that's why I found it slightly arousing.

I've had many ear exams and a few ear irrigations and find nothing erotic about any of it. Same way for dental procedures, including extractions, crowns, root canals, etc. Of course, I'm sure most people feel that way about anything anal, rectal, enemas, etc. To each his own.

"Remember, it's not a real doctor visit unless SOMEBODY looks in your ears! " LOL I must say that a dozen times a day to patients.

I have quite an experience of ear exams, im deaf and have been wearing hearing aids since I was 2 (im now 37) I love having the otoscopic examination of my ears and the otoprobethe use when inserting the foam block to take an aural impression for my earmould, and I love having my hearing aid inserted and removed PM if anybody wants to RP this

Not unusual to find it to be quite sensual when your ear is examined or touched. Especially if touched very lightly. Ear thermometers are now more the norm than rectal thermometers, and sure you can get most docs to take your temp in your ear. I would be glad to take it for you that way, but would also want to take it up the behind as well.

From what I've noticed hand held pistol grip thermal reflection detectors are now the most common, with some models having optional detachable probes unless there's a specific ailment reported that would give cause for other options

Since i'm not one for having anything stuck in my rectum, I am thankful the docs take my temperature through my ear. It does make me squirm as well to have something stuck in my ear.

I've never been aroused by the ear examination until recently....likely had a lot to do with whom was doing it. It's not a major turnon for me, but it did get me thinking about if the lighted otoscope could be used for other purposes.

Ear exams are not specifically stimulating to me but they are part of the innocuous part of the exam that allows tension and anxiety to build in anticipation of the sensitive and embarrassing parts. It causes the fully clothed examiner who has all the control to be close to the patient, who has no control, in his undershorts. It also provides the examiner with the opportunity for a lot of verbal instructions to the examinee to further assert his control and dominant position.

Good to see this get a bit of attention. All the parts of a physical exam can be seen as very personal and sensual including the ear examination. It might be more intense because it's one of the sensory inputs, but done with a particular technique touching someones ear lobe, or guiding an illuminating otoscope into the ear canal has the power to send enjoyable chills down a patients body. Even still wearing the gown, or street clothes, you feel the doctors fingertips softly touching as the space between you and them gets smaller and smaller. I might have to think more about how to spend a few more minutes focused on this part of my patients body.

Never thought of the ears being looked into as arousing, but a few years ago I went to a walk in clinic for what turned out to be pneumonia. The doctor there looked into my ears and for some reason, I found it a bit so. Maybe it was him being so close to me, his body almost touching mine, or maybe it was the motion of pushing my hair away from my ears, whatever it was, I liked it.

I haven't had my temp taken in my ear. The hospitals here use oral thermometers.

He looked into your ears because the ears are connected to the mouth and throat/airway by the Eustachian tubes and they can get secondarily infected and inflamed.

I'm a doctor and occasionally do otoscope exams, and usually have my doc do the same to me at most of my office visits. I actually enjoy having my ears or other organs examined, but just from a normal "I'm getting good care from my doctor" standpoint. In addition, it just physically feels good, rather like putting a finger or Q-tip in my ear (DON'T do this [Qtip] - it just compacts the wax and makes it harder for your doc to get it out if need be). Incidentally, I thought I might have had a stroke or other neurological problem last year because of a sudden serious hearing loss in one ear. I finally got into my ENT's office and after he looked at it, he said I just had a mountain of excess wax in that ear, which he then spent 25-30 minutes digging out. Immediately after he was through excavating, my hearing was back to normal. Thank the Lord for small favors. I'm still astounded at how much hearing loss could be produced just from wax buildup - I was almost functionally deaf for a few days on that side.

One of my fun diagnostic pickups when I was in practice was when a pastor who happened to be my patient presented with an intractable cough. No diagnostic clues on history or physical exam...lungs clear. Throat pretty unremarkable. No fever, weight loss, history of smoking or viral illness. Remembering that a foreign body in the external auditory canal can result in cough via the auricular branch of the vagus nerve, I took a peek into his ear canal and, loe and behold, there was a hair. I removed the hair and the cough immediately vanished. Some cases just make you smile!

Having had a lifetime of ear problems, I almost always have doctors check my ears, if I need it or not. When I go to a new doctor, I usually get all sorts of comments. Wow, you have a lot of damage (or scar tissue) in there! My doctor once said “Your ears are all jacked up!” (She cracks me up!) Once a nurse practitioner said my ears were interesting and would I let the nursing student that was with her have a look. Sure, why not? It didn’t bother me any. When I was little, I had lots of ear infections. I had tubes put in my ears 2 or 3 times (at least). I have scar tissue and nerve damage in them. Now, I guess I have neuropathy in there too. I also wear hearing aids in both ears, so I have had lots of audiologists looking in my ears too. It doesn’t do anything for me to have someone looking in my ears.

I think what it is with the ear exam is that while there isn't that much erotic in it by itself, when I'm sitting there in just my boxers it's the first time in the exam that they're getting up and personal with you, checking you out physically before the more intimate stuff later.

I was always indifferent about ear exams. I don't really like ear thermometers, because I find it a little awkward to have something sticking out of your ear for so long. But I had to have my ears irrigated last year, and that I kind of enjoyed.

I wouldn’t say ear exams are part of my fetish, but I certainly do love them as part of a complete exam! As an ASMR lover, the ear exam roleplay videos out there have become a paticular favorite!

I have yearly occupational health appointments at work and they always check my ears and yes, it's weirdly arousing... I also had my ears syringed twice in my life time so far and I remember the second time more clearly as I was a lot older. It was kinda hurty but also... kinda please don't stop doing that aha

The whole exam experience tickles my fancy. Having my ears examined is just one step closer to the more intimate portions of the exam. Even when the visit doesn’t involve any intimate exams, it queues the memories.

I don’t get too excited when something is in my ear...But I love how the dr has to stand really close to look into my ears, close enough you can smell them and hear them breathe ?

I can’t say I find ear exams erotic or exciting, but I can’t deny that they’re intimate and invasive by nature. That’s why i enjoy the unique experience of a full physical exam. You get to experience sensations and actions that can’t be experienced anywhere else.

It might not be an ear examination, but if you like ear 'treatments' of such, do a YouTube search of Chinese ear-cleaning.

As mentioned below ear exams do bring the doctor up close and personal. When I was a kid my pediatrician used to check my ears while I was sitting on the exam table he would be right in front of me grinding his crotch into my knee and then have me turn my head so he could look in my ear.

My friends who went toto the same pediatrician all noticed this too. Kids don't make stuff like this up. Otherwise he was a very well respected doctor. 😃
