When I am a patient, I love to receive a document which outlines my pre-exam prep. Typically it comes to me a few days in advance so that I can think about it for while. Most of you are probably familiar with the Fleet Phospho-Soda EZ-Prep Bowel Cleansing System. If not Google it. They are routinely dispensed with any type of Rectal or Bowel exam and involve taking a series of steps to cause you to eliminate all fecal material from your bowel in about a day. Different people have different reactions to these, varying from nearly instant and constant diarrhea to I single large bowel movement the day after taking them. It’s the inconsistent results, that make it such a detested treatment. Then there’s the element of arriving at the exam and being questioned on the efficacy of the treatment. Almost without regard to the answer, a rectal exam will follow with the specter of additional cleansing being required at the exam. I personally throw the box in the trash and pull out my enema bag for a series of enemas. I have yet to fail the follow-up exam, even though I don’t think there’s a nurse in the world that can still say the words “enemas till clear”.
Some years ago I had an appointment with a female Dr who sent me a different set of instructions. She sent me to the grocery store to get “Yohimbe Fuel”, and “Fleet Glycerin Suppositories”. Yohimbe Fuel for those who are familiar with it is a dietary supplement made from Yohimbe Bark extract in a standardized (pure form). Yohimbe Bark Extract is the same main ingredient in Viagra. Obviously Yohimbe Fuel uses considerably less of the extract in their product. My own GP told me to try it before turning in the Viagra Prescription that he wrote me. The normal prescription is for 2 tablets daily which provides about 800 mg of Extract. The Play Dr, that I was going to was well aware of my occasional use of this product and understand that I tolerated it well. (Read and Follow label directions until you are comfortable). The glycerin suppositories were ostensibly to be brought with me to the appointment.
The prep instructions that I received came by email 4 days before the exam and told me to immediately procure the necessary items and begin my prep that same day. I was advised me to start taking the Yohimbe Fuel capsules at 4 a day rate (2x the normal rate), spread throughout the day and to take a series of plain water enemas each day until clear. The instructions further advised that I was not to have any orgasm between then and the appointment. The last part of this I had no planned on so it mildly annoyed me that I had not taken action before I read the instructions. I have always lived to the letter of such instructions as it doesn’t make sense to have some one develop these with the idea of stimulating you in mind and then not execute it.
Four days later, on the morning of the appointment I received a second set of instructions. These instructions indicated that I was to immediately take 6 Fleet Glycerin Suppositories rectally and retain them until I arrived at the appointment
Now this was a little more intimidating as the appointment was a 3 hour drive away., but as always, I followed the doctor’s instructions and soon found myself underway to the appointment. When I arrived at the appointment, I found myself somewhat tired not just from the drive but from the cumulative loss of sleep the last few nights as the Yohimbe was causing erections anytime that my manhood was touched. This didn’t help my sleep pattern any. The Yohimbe Fuel also elevates my libido which aggravated the lack of an orgasm (normally a daily occurrence for me). Beyond those symptoms I was also in urgent need to emptying the remaining contents of my bowels.
From this I walked into a full blown medical exam to resolve the problem that I reported with premature ejaculation. I was literally ready to ejaculate on anything that moved at this point. She would examine me for the next several hours and keep me in this constant state of arousal till I thought my testicles were going to explode.
I’m interested in what others Doctors might have prescribed as a pre-exam prep or what prep exam prep instructions patients may have received that aroused you.
