The old "jones can"

Yes,had an enema with a jones can last week,sat the can on the sink counter about 2’ above my butt,used the original red rubber tubing & 5.5” black douche nozzle & a new style graduated step clamp,enema was ok however my bag enemas are more thrilling as i can hang the bag much higher on my IV stand,no other place to raise the can& the bag holds more fluid!

Never really saw or heard about jones cans as a kid growing up in the burbs of a city,maybe i mistook them as watering cans or planters? However most of my pals mothers bathrooms had enema or douche bottles hanging up in the shower or on the back of the door as my mother would hang the bag on the door to dry, she would always remove the douche nozzle from the hose to prevent me from having it up my rectum !

My friends mom had one hanging next to her ironing board in the basement. It had a black top that had a bulbous end on it. I know my friends got enemas with it because I went over on day and could hear my friend whining and complaining so I looked in the window and saw my friend bent over on a table with the tube in his butt. He's mom yelled at me and I ran off.

Any ideas as to when they quit using them ? Early 60's ?
