I stayed home from work one morning because I didn't feel well and had digestive issues. My wife asked what she could do for me or pick up at the store. I told her that my mom used to give me enemas in these circumstances. I asked if she had ever gotten them. She said on a couple of occasions. I did have an enema bag hidden in the house but since she was going out, I asked her to pick up something for an enema.
She called me from the drug section at the supermarket. She asked about Fleet enemas. I told her that I hated those from my hospital experiences. She then discussed the different types of enema equipment on the shelf. We decided on a combination syringe in order to have a hot water bottle around.
I could hardly wait til she got home. I had to talk her through the preparation of the enema and the administration. When all was said and done, I had a pretty good enema and some preliminary discussion about my childhood experiences. I had her hang it to dry but found it put away in a couple of days.
I had many enemas for digestive issues from that point. She found me in the tub giving myself an enema on several occasions but didn't seem to react negatively. In time, she discovered that an enema to relieve gas and bloating just before going to bed, seemed to relax me and my performance seemed enhanced. She was catching on.
She seemed reluctant to give me enemas for sexual stimulation but not for medical reasons. I had to be satisfied for many years. Over time, she seemed to be more understanding of the "other" benefits. I was able to subtly explain that men have a g-spot of their own and that digital stimulation was great. She wasn't crazy about this and would use a douche nozzle. The warm water was also an enhancement and now and then, some enema therapy was ok with her. The medical benefit of enema use vs laxatives made sense and my prostate health is good so Viagra etc is unnecessary.
Be patient and help them understand the physiological effects that a well administered enema can have. I also use the hot water bottle as a pillow in the jacuzzi. Even though the hose and nozzle are within reach, the red bag can be filled with hot or cold water and they get used to the equipment being near and are less shocked when it is put to use. Even the wife and kids like to use the water bottle for comfort in the tub.
My wife hates enemas and had some very negative experiences during labor and delivery. She may not totally agree with me on their use, but is more understanding. Incidently, she had the same pediatrician as me and her mom's enema bag was usually hanging in the bathroom. My mom is gone and I have little fear of the "Enema Queen" contadicting my memories.
