It has been long accepted that what goes in does not always
come back out. Some of the solution is always retained to
rehydrate and eventually be eliminated by the kidneys. For
that reason, I have stayed with plain warm water for years
with the occasional addition of a shot of alcohol. My question
then is, since the circulatory system reaches every cell of
the body and that retained enema enters the blood stream,
what is the effect of some of the exotic solutions on the
whole body? That is even seemingly innocuous soap gets into
the blood stream and we know what an alcohol enema can do
and in record time. What of these "exotic mixtures" such
as salt to heart patient?
