The abstract uses a lot of medical terminology, but it comes down to being associated with pain, soiling yourself, strangulation of bowel, an anus that stays open, and appears linked to constipation, diarrhea, substance abuse, and mental health issues.

There seems to be a lot of interest in anal prolapse on a lot of these anal play sites. I don't understand why people are so turned on by it. I personally don't want that to happen to me & really hope that my play & constant stretching larger doesn't lead to that.

What actually causes anal prolapse? I don't think it's just from stretching out to accept large diameter toys, unless maybe very extremely large sizes. I know that sizes approaching almost 4" diameter don't seem to be a problem.
