Is no one worried about the possibility of the bottle breaking? That would, and is, my detergent of playing with too many glass "toys". A cut colon would not be good.

Drink bottles are either thick glass or plastic. Checking for nicks is important on glass bottles. I like to put a full beer bottle up my arse base first and pour from there. I like the feel when the cap is being twisted or pried off.
Plastic bottles need to be filled or they lose their shape. The cap needs to be heavily lubed, or it can scratch. Going down on the open neck is a bad idea. It scratches, and the threads tangle. Been there and learned my lessons.
A greater risk is putting a bottle in neck first, empty, uncapped or uncorked It can be vacuum locked and either be stuck or go all in. Putting a hole in the bottom can prevent this. Once inside, the big end has to come out first. An enema may be enough or possibly a trip to the emergency department may be required to remove it
Decorative glass is something different, likely to break and often thin, so I personally stay away from that, with glass sex toys being the exception.
The good glass toys are made of tempered glass. They are safe. Just don't drop them on hard surfaces. Do not play hot and cold with them. That can break them inside your body. Use metal toys for that game.
