Female Pediatric Exam Memories

I’m curious how other women were examined by the pediatrician. Mine would have me in my panties and he would pull them open with no warning. His exams seemed to change from time to time, I remember once I was sitting on the table and he just put his hand down my panties with no warning and felt all around. Did you have a male doctor? I had some friends say the doctor would spread their labia and check very throughly. I wish 😢

I don’t recall anything more intrusive than a quick peek under the panties. I certainly never had an experience like some I’ve read here about being asked to assume the frog leg position, or having my knees pushed up to my chest for a rectal exam. I don’t even remember having a rectal temp taken. Then again, auscultation was always the most embarrassing and dreaded part of any exam I had, so it’s likely that could’ve eclipsed everything else.

Sometimes I’d have my panties pulled down in the front for a quick peek and other times it was panties off, knees apart and he’d spread my labia. It was increasingly embarrassing when I started getting pubic hair.

I have very few memories of going to the doctor when I was younger. The only time I ever remember a doctor "taking a peek" below the waist was for a rash on my inner thighs when I was probably about 10. And that was really a very benign thing. I don't ever remember having my genitals touched or even looked at by anyone until I was 18.

I remember it was like most women I talk to say, I had to be in my underpants only for the most part of the exam and the Panters came off at the very end and I had to do the frog position and my doctor spread my labias and took a look.......very strange feeling

In the uk we don't really see a pediatrician unless we are referred to one for a specific childhood condition perhaps. Having said that, due to having an eating disorder in my late pre teens / early teens and being under weight and under developed I was subjected to quite a few examinations, some quite humiliating, all embarrassing and yes at some point I had to show everything to a doctor

I had a male pediatrician and he always examined my vagina using frog legs and diapper position, he used a penlight.

When I was really young, my pediatrician would lift the waistband of my panties and slide his hand inside- I don't remember much else, and I only remember that much because a friend mentioned her doctor would pull her panties down and just look, and the difference surprised me. The exam from when I was older that I really remember was different- I was wearing a gown and panties, and the doctor had me sit up with the gown around my waist so she could feel my breasts, and then let me pull it back up before I laid down. She felt my belly through the gown and then asked me to lift my hips- and pulled the gown up and my panties down. She didn't touch, but asked me to spread my legs so she could look. I think having her take my panties down was the most embarrassing part- it felt very childish.
