Enchanted Lady,
It is perfectly normal to feel nervous and anxious when having a medical procedure.
I have worked in the medical field for many years. And when ever we had a patient feeling as you do we told the doctor.
Make Sure you tell the nurse and who ever else you see before anything happens. And when you see the doctor let him/her know how you feel.
If I knew where you at all and you were in the same location as me I would offer to go with you to this appointment for this Cystoscopy.
Good luck, try your best, and when it is all over take your time before you leave and make sure you are feeling ok to drive.
I wish you well,
Michael
P.S. By the way did the doctor go over with you,
Why they want you to have this cystoscopy?
What is involved with a cystoscopy?
How it is done?
What to expect before and after?
Recovery?
If for any reason you do not know any of the above information you as a patient always have the right to cancel the appointment and tell them why!!!!
And once you understand everything and you feel more comfortable having the procedure and maybe finding a friend or family member who can go with you to the appointment and be there for you.
This is all part of the Patients Rights. And yes, there Patients rights and we used to have it hanging in the offices I worked in for all to see.
Once again, Good Luck.
