How far was your underwear lowered for a rectal temperature?

@room_visitor

This was always done by my mom, all my older sisters, several of mom's neighbor lady friends, all the nurses at the clinic, all of my older sister's friends and their moms.

How is it that so many people have taken your rectal temperature? It sounds as if it happened very often. If so, why?

What underwear. Clothing during a exam only gets in the way. I am just wearing one of those ill fitting gowns trying to steel myself for the anal intrusion.

Typically at home my briefs were to be removed, while at the pediatrician it was usually taken down to my knees or more. The result was the same, me laying there with no say in the matter and a thermometer in my bottom.

When at the pediatrician I had my brief completely removed. Nowdays my play doc requires to be completely naked too and in a lythotomy position.

Just to the knees.

Always all the way off, either at home or at the doctor. Often at the doctor I was already fully undressed in preparation for the exam, prior to my temperature being taken, so it was just a matter of turning over to lay on my tummy on the table. Other times I did still have my panties on, and similarly to how someone else described, the nurse would tell me to lay on my tummy and turn my head to the side to look at a picture on the wall. She would tell me to lift my hips a little and she would slide my panties all the way off and set them over on the chair out of the way. Definitely something intense about just laying there staring at that picture, feeling them come off and knowing my bottom was fully exposed. By virtue of not being able to see, it built the anticipation followed by a sudden sensation of a hand on my bottom, spreading me open, followed shortly thereafter by the sensation of the cold tip of the thermometer touching then sliding inside.

It was somewhat similar at home in that my panties were always taken all the way off. But my mom wouldn't always have me turn my head off in the opposite direction from where she was positioned (though I would sometimes). If I turned my head towards her side, I would get an extra rush from laying there naked and watching her pick up the thermometer and apply lube to it. I liked looking at it and thinking about how it was about to be inside of me.

As far as I remember, I was always on my left side when I got my RT taken. Since I was sick, I was in my pajamas in bed, and I lowered it only about mid-thigh, just enough to expose my butt. Then, my mom would gently lift my upper butt cheek and slowly insert the thermometer.

I remember that a nurse took my RT once at the pediatrician. Again, on the left side (I guess because I was used to it from home), and I do not remember how she handled my underwear. Maybe also just enough to see my butt hole.

I have allready posted about the only time when my rectal temperature was taken, back in 1970 at my last high physical, a few days after I turned 18.

For the genital exam , the attractive female doctor had lowered my pans to my ankles. After she had palpated my penis and testicles and retracted several time my foreskin, she just asked me: " please turn around for me''. Then, she parted my buttchecks and I felt the thermometer being inserted deep into my rectum. The doctor then kept her hands on my buttockks as the thermometer registered. An humiliating ( having my temperature taken like a baby), but also exciting experience ( the touch of the hands of the doctor on my butt was so soft)

The last time I had my childhood rectal temperature taken at the doctor's office, a new nurse used my Captain American underwear as a restraint to hold me steady. She didn't really need to do this because I usually tolerated rectal temperatures okay. She had me lie on my back, pulled my underwear down to mid-thigh and frogged my knees back towards my chest. I could tell my butt cheeks were spread apart lying like this so she could see where to stick the thermometer. Right before she did the insertion, I felt her twist the seat of my underwear to pull my thighs together so I couldn't move. I felt the sudden slippery invasion up my backdoor, and it was uncomfortable this time. She stuck it in really far, a lot deeper than the other nurse. Maybe because she was so young and inexperienced, but it didn't feel so nice and I whimpered for the 4 or 5 minute eternity she left it in.

As boy when it was taken by mum etc. usually down to the knees

It depended on who was doing it. I've had mine taken with my underwear slightly lowered. Sometimes down to me knees or my feet. Then there were times when they took them completely off. Mostly it was around my knees because my nurse would have to hole me down.

When I was a child, my mother took my temperature when I was lying on her lap and she pulled my pants down to my feet. But when I became a teenager and started taking my own temperature, I always changed positions and my pants were down to my knees.

At the doctor’s office, my panties were lowered to about mid-thigh if memory serves. I have no recollection of having my temperature being taken rectally at home, which may be a good thing.

I remember that day vividly—one of those moments where every detail felt charged with anticipation. In the midst of a particularly immersive role-play session, my nurse, with an air of gentle authority, instructed me to lower my underwear for a proper rectal temperature check. I slid my underwear down slowly until they rested just above my thighs—exposing my lower hips and a hint of the upper thigh. That precise positioning felt deliberate: not so low as to strip me of all modesty, but low enough to leave me deliciously vulnerable.

The cool clinical air brushed against my exposed skin, intensifying the contrast between the sterile setting and the simmering tension of our play. In that moment, the act of lowering my underwear wasn’t merely a physical adjustment—it was a silent surrender to the intricate dance of trust, control, and arousal that defined our interaction. Every time I recall that delicate balance, I’m reminded of how even the smallest detail can transform an ordinary procedure into something profoundly intimate and electrifying.

It’s an experience that perfectly encapsulates my love for medical role-play—a blend of precision, submission, and unexpected desire that continues to thrill me.

When the temp was taken, when young, underpants were taken off and put with my other clothes in the room. I was naked on my tummy with the young nurse. Legs open.

Many times it was done that way with me also, it kind of depended on the nurse.

Just under the butt for me, so at about thigh-height.

At the hospital usually the nurse would lower the pyjamas down to almost the knees...

At my pediatrician my pants were pulled down just under the butt. But after the insertion of the thermometer, my underpants were pulled up so that the thermometer (digital one with flexible tip) couldn't slip out. That was a very intense feeling.

I can't remember specifically, I want to say my underwear was completely removed for all things rectal. whether it actually was or not is irrelevant, today with a play partner, the panties are completely removed, sometimes I look up bottomless on fuskator and imagine her panties and bottoms have been removed for easy rectal temperature access

At the doctor’s, lowered to between hips and knees. House calls, down to knees. For mom’s temperature checks, underwear/pajamas down to knees, unless an enema was to follow, then off for the thermometer and then the enema.

Did anyone have to sing out to their mom about her forgetting to remove the thermometer? Sometimes my mom got distracted by something or she got a phone call. Under strict orders never to move while the thermometer was inserted, I had to remain still until she returned.

No rules for that. Sometimes just under my buttocks, sometimes till my ankles.

However, I remember that it was always in two times. First my pants, and in a second time my underpants.

It was a very long time ago when the nurses at my pediatricians office did rectal temps because I know they changed to under the tongue when I switched pediatricians at age 9 but I recall being on all fours and I am pretty the nurse would lower my undies to the table and put the thermometer in. After it was removed I was told to pull them back up and return to seated position. I don't recall being embarrassed by this at all, it was just part of most visits.

Belongs who took mine:

- my mom wanted my pants lowered to my knees

- my dad didn't care, main issue was that my bum was in the buff

- at pediatrician it was lowered under my bum cheeks and after insertion they pulled my pants up that tightly that the thermometer made a pressing feeling in my bum

- in hospital it was different but most times pants below bum cheeks

@Danto Do you know why to the knees? this is not needed…

Good question, probably my mom needed more space to place the thermometer? Don't know. I was not that type of boy who tried to avoid the insertion for example by pulling the pants up again (maybe my brother did? 'cause he always defended himself against the thermometer)

To the knee

When I was a kid had my rectal temperature taken at home, Dr. or hospital, my underwear was almost always pulled down to the top of my thighs. I remember feeling the tension of waistband of my underwear on my upper thighs as well as on my butt as they were being pulled up/down. That sensation still turns me on whenever I take my rectal temperature.

For a RT Mom wanted pants/underwear/PJs lowered to my knees. At some point when lying on my stomach I started pushing them down myself to mid-thigh (which was about the limit of my arms reach), mom would then pull them down further to my knees (I think she wanted them out of easy reach).

At the doctor I was usually wearing only underpants. It varied from nurse to nurse or doctor, but mostly mid-thigh I think. If they were removed entirely, it usual meant I would be getting a shot before the visit ended.

@John_Sitter Interesting, did you ever try pulling them up as your temperature was being taken?
