Masturbating cycles

I'm a guy, but I find myself going in cycles of masturbating daily if not more for a couple weeks whether I have sex or not... some days I'll cum 3 or 4 times between my hand and my wife. Then just not doing anything at all for a couple weeks before starting up again, it's nothing conscious. Just how the urges strike me... anyone else like that?

I can certainly relate. There are times when I am not really sexually active at all, and other times have major urges and will cum 2-3 times a day. Some of this has to do with hormones; Gonadotropin Releasing hormone (one of your main "sex/reproductive hormones") is released in intervals, not constantly, so there may be times where you aren't super sensitive to it and other times when it can be much stronger/overriding.

I am curious too. Why are there days when the urge is just not there? Do men have a hormone cycle?

Wow! I'm surprised that more men are not aware of their cycles. Men, like women, have cycles although they are not reproductive cycles. IF you keep a record of your sexual drive and your emotional changes you will see over a period of 3-4 months a pattern emerging. It won't be to the day of the month but you will see patterns. Probably tied to one’s bio-rhythms… if your a follower of that.

It can feel like a chore from time to time

Interesting topic and comments. I generally do NOT have a down time, but I do have an ease off time. My sexual relief with a partner is very, very seldom, but I do masterbate 3 to 4 times a day, especially reading posting on Zity here or chatting with someone on this site. If when I sign on I'm not in a "high passion mood" that will change after reading some of the posting here and/or chatting with a member with like desires!

I go through mood swings also. Some days I masturbate several times. Some days I masturbate a lot! 😄
