My afterschool special

I recently recalled a childhood experience when I was in 7th or 8th grade. I remember meeting up with the older brother of a classmate. I have been thinking about the experience more and more and even found myself searching for him online.

I am sure that it was just innocent play. “Randy” was 3 years older and already in high school. I forget how I ended up at his house but I do recall being friends with his sister. I also remember how some of the girls would talk about boys they were interested in. I also remember having a few boyhood crushes as well — but not his sister. I remember having one special guy friend — much beefier than me — but he transferred to a new school in the 7th grade when a new parish was church and school were built.

It was common back then to hang out after school with kids in the neighborhood and I still remember that so most moms were always home — it was the 60’s after all.

So it wasn’t out of the ordinary that I would spend time with other boys in the neighborhood and we would end up at my house or theirs. But I don’t recall how I started hanging out with Randy. I don’t even recall why we were in his basement. I remember it being an unfinished basement and probably a cold cement floor with rug. Randy had somehow gotten his hands on a Playboy magazine and I do remember him showing it to me. I’m not sure if it was the centerfold pinup girl or other images of nude or scantily clad women — but I do remember be fixated on one particular image of a lady posing on all fours. And this would be my first recollection of innocent play with another boy. I don’t recall how it started — but I do remember wanting to pose — on all fours — just like the woman in the magazine. Did Randy ask me to? Did I suggest it? I don’t remember. I just remember being nude and posing for Randy. I remember him caressing my body but I don’t remember if he touched my private area — my penis and testicles. I don’t remember if I had any pubic hair. I just remember how pleasant it felt to pose for Randy and I am sure I welcomed his touch.

Funny how some 60 years later that I recalled this experience. I know that I visited him on more than one occasion — but I don’t know how it started and I don’t know why it ended.

Why have a searched for “Randy” on the internet? Why did I use google maps to revisit where he lived? I can only say that I discovered where he lives today and that he is single. I would like to reconnect with him if only to find out if he remembered me and what happened. And I would ask him a ton of questions. I was also thinking how embarrassing it would be if had no — or just a vague — recollection of our playing together.
