Study points to the value of the PSA blood test

This is the title of an article about the value of the PSA blood test: “Low Rates of PSA Screening Linked to Increase in Metastatic Prostate Cancer”

So a recent study shows that less PSA testing hss caused an increase in metastatic prostate cancer. I don’t think I can copy the whole article here but you can search for it on Medscape. If you do a search using Bing or Google you will find other sites with similar articles referencing this study.

From what I’ve read and talked to my doc, PSA screening is an indicator but not an absolute ( if anything is!). For me, I’ll have it checked and if it changes, e,g. Accelerates, I’ll trust my docs Recommendations. I’d like to find that article just as a data point.
