I did. When I was in my very early 20’s, I was visiting a girlfriend, who had recently been working as a nurse . I arrived at the airport with only a few hours of sleep, but I kept on going, and having a great time with her. After around the 2nd or 3rd day, she told me that I felt warm, and she told me to get into bed, while she checked me out . She returned to the bedroom with a rectal thermometer, and a Vaseline jar. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing, and I had butterflies in my stomach. She told me that she grew up having her temperature taken rectally, and to just relax. My heart was beating from anxiety, and I was not only embarrassed, but I expected it to really hurt. I braced myself , and felt the most incredible and amazing sensations, when she stuck it in. There was very little of it sticking out. Several minutes later, she slowly took it out, and held it up to the light, telling me that I had a slight fever, and had to rest until I was better. Eventually, we went our separate ways. I still miss her.
